PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR TOUR WAS NOT LISTED IN THE DROP DOWN MENU! We had signed up for a guided Ireland tour (Ashford Castle and Ireland’s Icons - tour has since been renamed!) with Insight Vacations in February 2025. The sales representative was patient, professional and thorough and made sure we understood when our timeline for final payment was to secure our spot on the booked tour! A while later I called some hotels myself to add additional nights and to inquire about my food allergies. To my surprise, several hotels told me that our tour was not reserved at their hotel for August 2025! Upon contacting Insight, I was informed that our departure date was not one of the confirmed tours for 2025 and the Insight representative assured me that the Ashford Castle tour was one of the most popular tours and was rarely canceled! I was pretty annoyed as this fact about enrolling in a non-confirmed departure trip had not been highlighted to us during our process of enrolling in the trip!! Nicely done, Insight!!! This was my first negative impression of Insight…. Fast forward to June 2025: we had made our final payment before the due date and a few days later we received a non-caring email from Insight Vacations informing us that our departure date had been canceled due to not enough attendees. Of course, they wanted us to change our travel dates to fill up their next departure date which did not work for our schedule. At this time, I was too disappointed with Insight and their non-costumer friendly approach and no-can-do attitude (regarding my food allergies). Therefore, we requested a full refund which took about 10 days to process. Instead, I created a schedule for our own Ireland trip including all the cities, villages, historic sights and natural parks that we wanted to see. I then booked hotels and hired a private chauffeur and we ended up with the most wonderful 10 day tour of Ireland, plus 3 days in Dublin! We learnt so much about the history, culture and life in Ireland over the past centuries and we feel that we got a very good glimpse of Ireland from yesterday to today! Our driver was amazing and everybody told us that we saw all the important sights between Dublin and Galway and south of it! Insight Vacations would not have met our expectations of Ireland since they didn’t even meet our expectations during the enrollment process!

I can't say enough about the trip, Greg and Raymond Larkin our driver. Greg and Raymond were a dynamic duo. They were so in sync with each other that we thought they worked together several times before. Safety was always a priority, and I would suggest this team be offered the opportunity to work together as much as possible. Greg was fantastic! He was professional, kind, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable on our touring countries. He made the trip fun, and it was evident that he put a lot of time and effort into preparing for the trip and making it an enjoyable experience for everyone. I would jump at the chance to tour again with him in the future.
