Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Cologne

You'll arrive in Cologne with the afternoon ahead of you. The ship doesn't leave until 5pm, so there's plenty of time to walk around and see what the city has to offer. The cathedral is right there and worth seeing, along with the old town area. Grab lunch somewhere along the Rhine and just wander the streets at your own pace before heading back to board.

    Meals
    Snack (Embarkation snack)

    Optional Activities

    • Explore Cologne's cathedral city and monuments
    Landmarks/POIs
    Cologne Cathedral
  2. Day 2

    Antwerp

The ship pulls into Antwerp around 2pm, giving you 8 hours to explore. Head into the city center and try some Belgian waffles and chocolate at one of the many spots around town. The Diamond District is there if you're interested in that sort of thing. Walk around the old harbor area, check out some of the museums if time allows, then grab dinner before the 10pm departure.

    Meals
Breakfast (Comprehensive breakfast buffet with live-cooking stations), Lunch (Comprehensive lunch buffet with live-cooking stations), Dinner (Comprehensive dinner buffet with live-cooking stations)

    Optional Activities

    • Explore Antwerp's art and cultural attractions
    • Visit diamond district
    • Sample Belgian waffles, chocolates and chips
    Landmarks/POIs
    Antwerp
  3. Day 3

    Amsterdam

You'll dock in Amsterdam at 4pm. The city has thousands of historic buildings tucked into every corner, so there's no shortage of things to see. Spend your evening strolling through neighborhoods, crossing the canals, and getting a feel for the place. Since the ship doesn't leave until tomorrow, you can take it easy and just soak in the atmosphere without rushing.

    Meals
Breakfast (Comprehensive breakfast buffet with live-cooking stations), Lunch (Comprehensive lunch buffet with live-cooking stations), Dinner (Comprehensive dinner buffet with live-cooking stations)

    Optional Activities

    • Explore Amsterdam's historical monuments and architecture
    • Discover Amsterdam's art, museums and cultural attractions
    Landmarks/POIs

  4. Day 4

    Amsterdam

Your second day in Amsterdam gives you the full day to explore more thoroughly. Walk through different neighborhoods and see the contrast between the old architecture and newer areas. Stop at cafes, visit some of the smaller museums, or just spend time along the canals. The ship departs at 6pm, so plan to head back by early evening.

    Meals
Breakfast (Comprehensive breakfast buffet with live-cooking stations), Lunch (Comprehensive lunch buffet with live-cooking stations), Dinner (Comprehensive dinner buffet with live-cooking stations)

    Optional Activities

    • Continue exploring Amsterdam's historical monuments and architecture

  5. Day 5

    Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf comes up next with a 2pm arrival and 9 hours in port until the 11pm departure. This is the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia and has a lot of cultural stuff going on. Walk along the waterfront, check out some theaters and museums if that interests you, or just get a sense of the city's character. Try some local food and walk through the different neighborhoods to see the mix of old and contemporary architecture.

    Meals
Breakfast (Comprehensive breakfast buffet with live-cooking stations), Lunch (Comprehensive lunch buffet with live-cooking stations), Dinner (Comprehensive dinner buffet with live-cooking stations)

  6. Day 6

    Cologne

The cruise wraps up as you arrive back in Cologne at 6am. From there you can disembark and explore the cathedral one more time if you're energized, or head home after your week on the Rhine. Either way, you'll have seen quite a bit of the river and some really interesting cities along the way.

    Meals
Breakfast (Comprehensive breakfast buffet with live-cooking stations)

    Optional Activities

    • Explore Cologne's cathedral city and monuments after disembarkation

Service on board was excellent! Waiters and room service were great. But entertainment wise was rather poor. Cruise was was advertised as German and English mostly German was used. Out of 38 minutes in German, English was use for 3 minutes?? WE had to ask for some translation.. The Cruise administration and presentation on adverting are very misleading. Premium All-Inclusive is just a misleading name and I think it is not the right name for a package!!! Even to have a reserved seats for meals we were asked for daily fee!

This review is about a 7-day river cruise, not a guided tour. The Moselle River is a scenic delight, with vineyard-covered hillsides, charming villages, castles and chateaux. Our boat was the A-Rosa Silva. About 180 passengers. All meals buffet style. We ate very well. The wines included in Premium all-inclusive were mediocre. We knew from a previous A-Rosa cruise that most passengers are German and non English speaking. We missed not having anyone to talk with other than one couple with whom we sometimes shared a table at meal times. The boat did not have very effective AC. The dining room could get pretty uncomfortable. We sometimes took our plates up on deck, and that was lovely. We learned to keep our cabin shades down and curtains closed during the day when we were on the sunny side.

Very good but be prepared to have very few English speaking people on the cruise
