Although I watch every tv show about the pyramids and the pharaohs I was not prepared for the size of the pyramids, the colour of the hieroglyphs, the christian history of Egypt and for modern Cairo. Put Egypt and the Nile on your list.Show more
- Rhonda· August 27th, 2025Doing a Nile Riverboat Cruise is the easiest way to see Cairo to Aswan. Starting the tour in Cairo was wonderful. Trust me when I say this, as in my younger days I did it by train. We got to see a lot more on the cruise than travelling independently. A bonus also, was to have our own assigned guide, who was well studied up in all the Egyptian history.Show more
- Seth· August 25th, 2025Very educational from first to last spot. Abdou I think was the first guide we had for the Giza pyramids and was very informative. Ahmed Elkallaf was our tour guide on the cruise stops and was very informative and quizzical about everything we visited. Wish we would have had him towards the last stop.Show more
