Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
Your driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel in Cairo. From there, the day is yours to settle in, rest up, and get oriented to the city.
- Day 2
Cairo
Start with a guided tour through the Grand Egyptian Museum, where you'll see over 100,000 artifacts including massive statues and the treasures from King Tutankhamun's tomb. After that, you'll head to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo to check out statues, jewelry, sarcophagi, and mummies that are remarkably well preserved. By afternoon, you can cool off at the hotel pool and take it easy for the rest of the day.

Cairo to Aswan
You'll spend the morning at Giza Plateau exploring the pyramids and the Sphinx. The three great pyramids are there, including the Cheops pyramid which was built from over 2.5 million limestone blocks. You have the chance to go inside one of them if you want. In the afternoon, either relax by the pool back at your hotel or wander around Cairo before heading to the train station for your overnight sleeper train to Aswan.

Aswan
After arriving in Aswan, you'll take a boat out to Agilika Island and visit Philae Temple. On the way back, there's a stop at a perfume oil shop. The rest of the day you can hang out at the hotel, use the facilities, or take a walk along the riverside corniche. Later this evening, you'll head to the Aswan market to walk through the herbs and spices and get a feel for the local scene.

Aswan
A motorboat takes you out on the Nile to Seheil Island where you'll do a guided walk and find archaeological sites. If a local school is open, you might visit. Lunch and time with your group happens onboard a traditional felucca. In the afternoon, you can relax or join the optional trip to the Nubian Museum, which has over 3,000 artifacts and scale models from ancient Egypt.

Aswan to Luxor
A motorboat crosses the river to the west bank where you'll ride a camel across the desert to the 7th century Monastery of St Simeon. After exploring the monastery, you travel toward Luxor. Along the way, there's a stop at Kom Ombo Temple with its symmetrical layout dedicated to both Horus and Sobek.

Luxor
You'll explore Luxor's West Bank starting with the Valley of the Kings and its elaborate tombs carved out to ward off robbers. Then you'll see Queen Hatshepsut's temple with its columns and the Colossi of Memnon statues. In the afternoon, head to the Karnak Temple complex to walk through the vast Hypostyle Hall. By evening, you can relax or join an optional tour of Luxor Temple all lit up at night.

Luxor to Cairo
You'll get a flight from Luxor airport back to Cairo. From there, spend the rest of the day however you like, whether that's relaxing at the hotel pool or getting out to explore the city a bit more.
