- Day 1
London
You'll arrive in London and get settled at your hotel. The afternoon is yours to do as you like, though the hotel reception can provide tour information if you need it.

- Day 2
London
This morning there's a city tour covering Westminster, Parliament, the City, and the Thames. The afternoon is free, and if you want something more active, there's an optional day trip to Thames Valley and Windsor. Later in the evening you'll walk through Piccadilly, Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho before heading back to the hotel by bus.

- Day 3
London to Cambridge - York - Durham
You're heading north out of London. In Cambridge you'll see the colleges, then after lunch you'll reach York to walk around the cathedral, Roman walls, and shopping streets. From there it's on to Durham, a medieval town with its own cathedral and castle to check out.

- Day 4
Durham to Alnwick - Edinburgh
Today you'll travel north into Scotland, stopping first in Alnwick to see the gardens and medieval castle (the one from Harry Potter). Later you'll arrive in Edinburgh mid-morning and get a panoramic tour with a local guide covering the castle, the steep streets, and parks of Scotland's capital.

- Day 5
Edinburgh to Pitlochry - Inverness - Loch Ness - Fort Augustus - Fort William - Glasgow
You're off into the Scottish Highlands. Starting with coffee in Pitlochry, you'll pass near Loch Ness and Inverness, stopping at Urquhart Castle (admission included), then taking a boat ride on Loch Ness. After seeing Fort Augustus and Fort William near Ben Nevis, you'll travel through high plateaus and along Loch Lomond before reaching Glasgow by evening. Note: November 15 to end of February has a different route including a whisky distillery, Stirling Castle, and The Kelpies sculptures instead.

- Day 6
Glasgow to Lichfield - London
An early start heading south back through Scotland and England past green landscapes and villages. You'll stop in Lichfield for a walk and lunch, checking out the distinctive three-spire cathedral and historic cobbled streets. Late afternoon you'll arrive back in London. Small groups might travel by train or plane and skip the Lichfield stop.
