Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Toulouse

    You'll arrive in Toulouse and check into your hotel, then have time to walk around the city on your own and see the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and local neighborhoods. In the evening, you'll join the group for an orientation session and welcome dinner to get started on your nine-day Pyrenees trip.

  2. Day 2

    Toulouse to Cauterets

    A private transfer takes you to Pont d'Espagne (2.5 hours), where you'll start a loop hike up to Lac de Gaube at 5,660 feet with peaks all around. From there, you'll walk along the scenic river path to La Raillère and then transfer to Cauterets for your next two nights.

  3. Day 3

    Pyrenees National Park

    After a 35-minute transfer to Cambasque, you'll hike through Pyrenees National Park toward refuge d'Ilhéou on the edge of Lac Bleu. The day continues over Col de la Haugade, down to Lacs de l'Embarrat, and across Vallée du Marcadau before heading back to Pont d'Espagne for your transfer to Cauterets.

  4. Day 4

    Gavarnie to Valle de Bujaruelo

    Following breakfast, you'll transfer to the Gavarnie region and hike up to Col des Espécieres at 7,660 feet, crossing from France into Spain. You'll pass through San Nicolas de Bujaruelo and Lapazosa Lake, then descend along a river to Valle de Bujaruelo where you'll stay for two nights.

  5. Day 5

    Ordesa Valley

    The local bus gets you to Ordesa Valley in about 30 minutes, a seven-mile-long valley inside Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. You'll hike out and back to reach the valley's end where a cirque and waterfall sit waiting. On the way back, you'll stop by smaller cascades and pools, then grab dinner with the group at your hotel.

    Valle de Bujaruelo to Gavarnie-Gèdre

    You'll hike back into France from Spain with an uphill push to Col de la Bernatoire at 7,664 feet. From up there, you can see Lake Bernatuara stretching out before you. After descending to Barrage d'Ossoue, a private transfer takes you to Gavarnie-Gèdre for the night.

  7. Day 7

    Brèche de Roland

    A short transfer brings you to Col de Tentes where you'll hike to Brèche de Roland, a distinctive gap in the mountain where you're literally standing on the border between France and Spain. You'll descend through Col des Sarradets and Vallée des Pouey Aspé to reach your backcountry hotel at the entrance to Cirque de Gavarnie.

    Cirque de Gavarnie to Toulouse

    You'll hike up to Cirque de Gavarnie Falls surrounded by alpine terrain and rocky peaks. After visiting the falls, you'll head down to the village of Gavarnie and then transfer back to Toulouse (2.5 hours). The day ends with a celebratory dinner in the city where you can look back on your week in the mountains.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before February 19th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 19th, 2026, a minimum payment of $460 is required to confirm your booking with Wildland Trekking. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
