  1. Day 1

    Port Hedland

    You'll travel along the edge of The Great Sandy Desert heading towards Port Hedland. Stop at Eighty Mile Beach to take in the white sand and turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. The drive gets you into Port Hedland by early evening, giving you time to settle in before dinner.

  2. Day 2

    Port Hedland to Karijini National Park

    After breakfast in Port Hedland, drive south across the Pilbara region. You might catch sight of an iron-ore train at the port before heading inland. The landscape shifts to deep red colors as you move towards Karijini National Park, where you'll spend the night in the heart of the park.

  3. Day 3

    Karijini National Park

    Spend the day in Karijini National Park walking through the gorges. Head to Fortescue Falls and then cool off at Fern Pool, which is spring-fed and perfect for swimming. Later, visit Oxer Lookout where you can see four gorges coming together against the ancient, iron-rich landscape.

  4. Day 4

    Tom Price to Exmouth

    Leave Tom Price and drive towards the coast, moving through deep gorges and colorful rock formations. The drive takes you through some varied terrain before you arrive in Exmouth by evening. The town sits at the northern end of the Ningaloo Reef, so you're now positioned for reef exploration.

  5. Day 5

    Exmouth

    Start at Vlaming Head Lighthouse for views across North West Cape. From there, head to Mandu Mandu Gorge to look for Black Footed Rock Wallabies. Later, you'll head to Turquoise Bay for a swim in the Indian Ocean before returning to your Exmouth accommodation in the late afternoon.

    Exmouth to Carnarvon

    After breakfast, drive to Coral Bay to see the 260 km long Ningaloo Reef. Get on a glass-bottom boat and do some snorkeling to see corals, sea stars, crustaceans, and over 500 fish species. The afternoon involves a relaxed drive south to Carnarvon.

  7. Day 7

    Carnarvon to Monkey Mia

    Drive through classic Outback landscapes with stops at Hamelin Pool to see stromatolites and Shell Beach. Visit the Shark Bay Interpretive Centre in Denham. You'll arrive in Monkey Mia in the afternoon, and after dinner a local Aboriginal guide leads a cultural walk sharing dreamtime stories and didgeridoo music under the night sky.

    Monkey Mia to Kalbarri

    In the morning, you have a chance to encounter the famous dolphins at Monkey Mia. Then drive from Shark Bay World Heritage area towards Kalbarri National Park. Depending on the season, you might see wildflowers along the way. Stop at Kalbarri National Park to see the views into Murchison Gorge, arriving in Kalbarri village by evening.

    Kalbarri to Geraldton

    After breakfast head back into Kalbarri National Park to check out the rugged coastal formations. Travel along the coastal road through Port Gregory to Geraldton, passing grazing land. The afternoon includes a scenic flight over the Abrolhos Islands, including the Pelsaert, Easter, and Wallabi Groups, where the famous 1629 Batavia mutiny took place.

    Start at Mount Scott for views over Geraldton and Grey's Bay, including the HMAS Sydney II memorial. Tour St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in town, then drive south along the coast via Leeman and Jurien Bay to Cervantes. Explore Nambung National Park with its thousands of limestone pillars rising from yellow sand (The Pinnacles). Continue south through Lancelin to Perth where your tour ends at your hotel.
