Itinerary
- Day 1
Perth to Geraldton
You'll get picked up from your hotel and head north along the coast toward Cervantes. Once there, the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park come into view, thousands of limestone pillars rising right out of the yellow sand. From there, you'll continue north through Jurien Bay and Leeman, making your way to Geraldton. Along the way, stop at Mount Scott for views over the town and Grey's Bay, where you'll see a memorial to HMAS Sydney II. The day wraps up with a visit to St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.

Geraldton to Kalbarri
Start with an aerial scenic flight over the Abrolhos Islands, covering the Pelsaert Group, Easter Group, and Wallabi Group. Your guide will share the story of the famous 1629 Batavia mutiny. Back on land, you'll travel through Port Gregory, passing through grazing land and seeing the rough coastline. The drive ends in Kalbarri by late afternoon.

Kalbarri to Monkey Mia
After breakfast, head into Kalbarri National Park to take in the views into Murchison Gorge. Drive through the park toward World Heritage Shark Bay, where wildflowers might be on display depending on the season. You'll arrive in Monkey Mia in the afternoon and spend time with the famous dolphins that come to shore nearly every day. Following dinner, a local Aboriginal guide leads a session on indigenous culture with dreamtime stories and didgeridoo music under the stars.

Monkey Mia to Carnarvon
Get up close with the dolphins in the morning, one of the main attractions here. Next, visit the Shark Bay Interpretive Centre in Denham to learn about this World Natural Heritage area. Stop at Shell Beach after that, then head to Hamelin Pool to see the world's best known colony of stromatolites. The drive through typical Outback terrain takes you to Carnarvon by evening.

Carnarvon to Exmouth
Following breakfast, travel to Coral Bay to see the 260 km long Ningaloo Reef up close. You'll explore this natural wonder on a glass-bottom boat with snorkel and flippers, seeing corals, sea stars, crustaceans, and over 500 fish species. After your time in the water, continue to Exmouth in the afternoon.

Exmouth
Start at Vlaming Head Lighthouse for views across North West Cape, Ningaloo Reef, and the naval communication station. Take a short walk through Mandu Mandu Gorge to look for rare Black Footed Rock Wallabies. Later, spend time at turquoise Turquoise Bay for relaxation and an optional swim in the Indian Ocean. Head back to your accommodation in Exmouth by late afternoon.

Exmouth to Karijini National Park
Drive north-easterly across the Pilbara region, traveling through landscape twice as large as Germany with half consisting of desert and red-colored crests. You'll arrive at your accommodation in the heart of Karijini National Park in the evening, settling in for a peaceful night.

Karijini National Park
You'll explore Western Australia's second largest National Park, which features some of the world's oldest rock formations and colorful landscape. Walk through changing vegetation in iron-rich gorge walls to reach the park's only permanent waterfall. Swim in the refreshing spring-fed Fern Pool nearby. Later, visit Oxer Lookout for views of four gorges joining together.

Karijini National Park to Port Hedland
Spend the morning enjoying the resort atmosphere before heading out. Travel away from Western Australia's iron-ore region toward Port Hedland, Australia's busiest iron-ore shipping port. You might spot an endless iron-ore train coming into or leaving the port as you drive through the area.

Port Hedland to Broome
Travel along the edge of The Great Sandy Desert with sparse vegetation covering the landscape. You'll drive through extensive mangrove forests that line Australia's northern coastline. Take in Eighty Mile Beach with its white sand and turquoise Indian Ocean waters, known for fishing and shell collecting. Arrive in Broome, Australia's pearling capital, by early evening.
