My husband and I spent 11 days with Ismail and Best Tours Morocco. The moment we walked out of the arrival gate to the moment that we entered the departure gate 11 days later, Ismail was with us the whole time. He helped us at check-in to make sure that our accommodations were correct and our luggage was taken care of. He has excellent English skills, and he was able to impart to us the intricacies of the Moroccan culture. He frankly answered our personal questions without hesitation. Although we had settled on the itinerary months before our arrival, he was always amenable to changes on the fly. We eliminated some things and added others without difficulty. For instance, we added the Chellah ruins in Rabat, and a personal in- home dinner with a family in Fes. In Marrakesh he suggested the amazing Anima Heller Gardens and arranged for a most delightful progressive dinner of Moroccan street food and night culture. We stayed 2 nights in the Erg Chebbi desert at the Tiziri Luxury camp and we did a four 4-wheel quad bike exploration of the desert. It was a lot of fun cruising through the soft desert sands. We were fortunate enough to see “Lake Merzouga”. There had been record-breaking rains three weeks prior to our arrival and the lake appeared for the first time in nearly 50 years. It was quite a sight and we even saw some recently arrived flamingos. During the planning phase of our trip Ismail was very timely with our communications via e-mail and WhatsApp. We had some very specific requests that he was able to fulfill for us. If you ever have the opportunity to have Ismail as your guide, you won’t regret it. PS: This is really the truth. We have travelled all over the world and this is the first time that I have ever given more than a one or two sentence review to a tour operator or tour driver.

Our Driver/Guide, Ismail, was a star. SO flexible to our needs including changing one destination for another! Great hotels, we went for the mid priced option, and the Sahara was umissable. He even got up before dawn to take us to the best place to see the sunrise which is spectacular. The organisation was like clockwork even when we asked to veer off the itinerary!

A tour of Morocco that allows you to discover the country as a whole, with magnificent landscapes and a very welcoming people. A lot of driving, but the destinations are well worth it.
