Nairobi
You'll arrive in Nairobi whenever your flight gets in. After checking in, there's a brief welcome meeting where you'll meet your trip leader and the rest of the group. The hotel has an optional group dinner if you want to get to know everyone over a meal.

Nairobi to Maasai Mara
This morning you'll travel through the Great Rift Valley on your way to the Maasai Mara Reserve. You'll board your safari vehicle at 07:00 and head out for a late afternoon wildlife drive in one of Kenya's best spots for seeing animals.

Maasai Mara
The morning starts with a wildlife drive in the Maasai Mara where you'll look for animals from your safari vehicle. After you get back to camp, the afternoon is yours to relax or walk around and explore on your own.

Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Starting at 06:00, you'll head out in your 4x4 safari vehicle. Later you'll meet up with the group at Ubuntu Cafe, a place supported by G Adventures, for a 3-course farm-to-table lunch. The afternoon includes a wildlife drive around Lake Nakuru.

Lake Nakuru to Eldoret
You'll start with a morning safari drive around Lake Nakuru to spot more wildlife. Then you'll climb into the Lando for a 3 to 4 hour drive to Eldoret.

Eldoret to Kampala
Today you're crossing from Kenya into Uganda and heading to Kampala, the capital. The drive takes 11 to 13 hours and you'll roll in during the late afternoon.

Landmarks Kampala - Day 7
Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi
You'll cross the equator during your 12 hour journey from Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi. Once you arrive, you have free time to look around. The lake's name means 'place of many little birds' and it has 29 islands surrounded by steep hillsides. If you feel like it, you can jump in for a swim.

Landmarks Lake Bunyonyi Equator - Day 8
Lake Bunyonyi
Today you'll do a mountain gorilla trek through Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. A park ranger will lead you deep into the jungle through volcanic forests as you search for gorillas in their natural habitat. This is a tough hike that can vary quite a bit in length and how challenging it is.

- Day 9
Lake Bunyonyi
The entire day at Lake Bunyonyi is yours to do what you want. You can swim, hike, try canoeing, watch birds, or take a motorboat tour of the lake. In the evening, hang out with the group at the lodge. Note that some people will be doing the gorilla trek today while others did it yesterday.

Lake Bunyonyi to Kalinzu Forest Reserve
You'll drive through the Ugandan countryside for 3 hours to reach Kalinzu Forest Reserve, which sits next to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The reserve has lots of different landscapes where you can see wildlife. After you arrive, your afternoon is free.

- Day 11
Kalinzu Forest Reserve to Lake Mburo
Rise early to go chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu Forest Reserve with a ranger. Later the group will check out a tea plantation before heading to Lake Mburo. Once there, you can book an afternoon boat cruise if you want or walk around the local area.

Lake Mburo to Jinja
You're crossing the equator again today, heading back into Uganda. This journey is special because it's one of the few places on Earth where you can cross the equator on land. You'll stop for lunch at AidChild Equation Cafe & Gallery, which G Adventures supports. The drive to Jinja takes 7 to 8 hours and you'll get there in the evening.

Jinja
Your day in Jinja is completely free. You can explore on your own or team up with other group members. There are tons of outdoor and adventure activities around, like river rafting and mountain biking.
