Cape Town to !Khwa ttu
Head north in the Lando through Western Cape scenery toward the !Khwa ttu San Culture and Education Centre. You'll learn about the history and culture of the ancient San people through their perspective. By afternoon you'll reach the campsite with time to wander around and get a feel for the area.

!Khwa ttu to Orange River
Travel north through large plantations of rooibos tea toward the Orange River. The campsite is in a scenic spot, and you'll have enough daylight left for a late afternoon swim in the river to cool off after the drive.

Orange River to Fish River Canyon
Head to Fish River Canyon, Africa's largest canyon. Stop along the rim to watch the sunset from the Lando, then set up camp nearby. After that, you'll have time to relax around the campfire as the night settles in.

Fish River Canyon to Sossusvlei
Travel north on long, bumpy roads through the heart of the Namib Desert. You'll arrive late afternoon with the towering red sand dunes of Sossusvlei rising up in front of you. Set up camp and take in the views.

Sossusvlei
Start before dawn to catch sunrise from the top of Dune 45. Later on, check out the surreal Deadvlei and walk through Sesriem Canyon to learn how it formed and what wildlife lives there. You'll drive through Solitaire before heading back to camp. An optional desert walk is available in the evening if you're up for it.

Cross over dry mountain passes and empty regions of the Namib Desert on your way to Swakopmund, known as the adrenaline capital. You're staying two nights here with plenty of opportunities for optional activities.

Swakopmund
The day is yours to do what you want. If you're into high energy activities, try skydiving or sandboarding. Alternatively, book a scenic flight over the Skeleton Coast for a different kind of adventure.

Spitzkoppe to Etosha National Park
Head toward Etosha National Park for wildlife viewing. You'll take a safari drive in the Lando on the way to camp. After sunset, watch animals gathering at the well-lit watering holes near the campsite. A night safari is available if you want to keep going.

Etosha National Park
You'll head out on a wildlife safari drive through Etosha National Park where over 100 different mammal species roam the landscape. Since you're visiting during the dry season (May to October), animals congregate around waterholes, which creates exceptional viewing opportunities. This is when the park really delivers for spotting wildlife without too much difficulty.

D'kar to Maun

- Day 16
Maun - Okavango Delta
Your adventure starts with a 4x4 drive into the Okavango Delta, heading toward a basic bush camp where you'll be staying overnight. Once you arrive and get settled, you'll head out on the water in a traditional mokoro canoe, paddling through the channels and keeping an eye out for wildlife and birds. After that, there's time for a walk on foot to explore more of the area. As the sun starts to set, you'll gather around the campfire for drinks and stories before turning in for the night.

Okavango Delta - Gweta
This morning begins with a safari walk right there in the delta, spotting whatever wildlife is around. You'll head back to Maun afterward and then board an overland vehicle for the drive to Gweta. Once you arrive, you have free time to check out the area and explore the ancient baobab trees that the region is known for. It's a relaxed pace after the activity of the previous day.

You can set these up before you leave home or handle it when you get there, depending on what works better for you.
