Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo and look for your Travel Talk sign at the terminal for your transfer to the hotel. After freshening up, you'll meet your guide and fellow travelers in the lobby around 6:00pm for an informal meeting. From there, you can explore vibrant Cairo on your own or join an optional group dinner cruise if you prefer.

 - Day 2
Cairo
Rise early at 7:30am for a full day exploring Egypt's iconic ancient wonders. Your guide takes you to the Pyramids and Sphinx to learn about these 4,600-year-old monuments. Then you'll head to the Egyptian Museum of Cairo, which holds over 120,000 ancient Egyptian relics and antiquities. You'll return to your hotel for the night.

Cairo to Aswan
You'll fly to Aswan for a city tour with your local guide. First, you'll check out the Unfinished Obelisk to learn about ancient building methods and walk along the 42-metre granite bed. Next comes Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and set beautifully on an island in the Nile. After checking in at your hotel, you can optionally join a traditional Nubian dinner in the evening.

Aswan
An optional early morning departure leaves at 04:45 for Abu Simbel, a UNESCO World Heritage Listed site that's a must for history enthusiasts. After that excursion, you'll have a free afternoon to explore Aswan and wander along the banks of the Nile River at your own pace.

Aswan
You'll relax and take in the cool breeze of the Nile aboard a traditional felucca sailboat for a river excursion. After your time on the water, the rest of the day is yours to wander around Aswan however you'd like.

Aswan to Luxor
You'll board the coach and drive north towards Kom Ombo to visit the Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. Then you'll continue to Edfu, home to one of Egypt's largest and best-preserved temples dedicated to the falcon god Horus, built over 180 years from 237 BC to 57 BC. Later you'll arrive in Luxor in the late afternoon and explore Luxor Temple after dark with your guide. The day finishes at the vast Karnak Temple Complex, where your Egyptologist guide shares intriguing stories and mythologies about this important religious center.

Luxor to Cairo
Start with an optional early morning hot air balloon ride over Luxor if you're interested. Then your guide takes you to the Valley of the Kings, also known as the 'City of the Dead', home to royal tombs carved into desert rocks and filled with treasures for the pharaoh's afterlife. You'll visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon. During the afternoon, you'll head to the airport and fly back to Cairo.

Cairo
After your final breakfast, you'll start bidding farewells to your travel mates. Check out of the Cairo hotel at 11:00am and catch your transfer to the airport to end your tour. Then it's time to start counting down the days for your next adventure with Travel Talk.
