- Day 1
Moshi to Arusha National Park
Your adventure starts in Moshi, a lively town with plenty of coffee houses to grab a cup before heading out. From there you'll head to Arusha National Park where you can explore Lake Momella and the Ngurduto Crater area. The park is home to buffalo, waterbuck, giraffe, warthogs, zebra and gazelle, so keep your eyes open during the drive. You'll also take a guided walk through the bush to get a feel for the landscape up close and see what the terrain is actually like on foot.

Tarangire National Park
After breakfast you're heading to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its large elephant herds and the variety of wildlife you'll find there. The park really shines from July through October when the Tarangire River is running at full capacity, drawing animals in. During your game drives you can expect to see elephants, lions, giraffe, warthogs, ostrich, impala, cheetah, mongoose, buffalo, and baboons throughout the day.

Landmarks Tarangire National Park Tarangire River - Day 3
Tarangire National Park
You'll spend another day in Tarangire National Park with your professional guide working the same territory. Starting after breakfast, the game drives continue through this expansive park as you search for the large elephant populations and all the other wildlife around. Lions, giraffe, warthogs, ostrich, impala, cheetah, mongoose, buffalo, and baboons are out there, and the guide will help track them down as you move through different sections of the park.

Landmarks Tarangire National Park - Day 4
Tarangire to Lake Natron
Following breakfast you'll travel to Lake Natron, which is famous for its unique salty waters and the russet color that comes from alkaline-loving microorganisms living in it. During breeding season you can see over half the world's lesser flamingoes here, and they create really visual clouds of pink across the water. Your time includes exploring the surrounding salt marshes, freshwater wetlands, and checking out the sparkling waterfalls scattered through the unusual landscape.

Landmarks Lake Natron - Day 5
Lake Natron to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you'll leave Lake Natron and head toward Serengeti National Park, traveling through bustling towns like Loliondo and Wasso along the way. The route takes you through Klein's Gate at the northeast entrance, and the drive itself passes through towns, villages, savannah and forest terrain. As you're moving through different areas you'll spot antelope, wildebeest and zebra, so there's plenty to see even during the travel time.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park - Day 6
Serengeti National Park
You've got another day to explore the Serengeti after breakfast, traveling through the park's varied landscapes including towns, villages, savannah and forest areas. The wildlife tracking continues as you watch for antelope, wildebeest and zebra moving across this vast and iconic wildlife reserve. Each area of the park has its own character, so you'll notice different terrain and vegetation as the day progresses.

Serengeti National Park
Starting after breakfast, you'll spend another day driving through the Serengeti's diverse wildlife and landscapes. The golden grasslands are dotted with acacia trees under endless blue skies, and it's the kind of scenery that makes the whole trip feel real. Keep watch for tree-climbing lions, leopards, zebra, wildebeest and other wildlife grazing across the savannah as you move through different sections.

Ngorongoro Crater
An early start helps you catch the best wildlife viewing since animals are most active in the morning hours. After a filling breakfast you'll head to Ngorongoro Crater, which is a volcanic landscape loaded with grazing animals and their predators. The crater's high walls form a protective shelter that prevents migration, so the wildlife diversity here is really something else. You'll spot zebra, wildebeest, cackling hyenas and members of the Big Five all in one contained area.

Lake Manyara National Park
Another early start after a healthy breakfast gets you out when wildlife is most active at the beginning of the day. Lake Manyara National Park sits at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and has diverse landscapes including golden savannah, narrow wildlife-rich shores, and the still waters of Lake Manyara itself. The park is known for its elephants and troops of chattering baboons that always seem to be going, so there's constant activity to watch.
