- VSViktoria· July 20th, 2025Our safari to Tanzania's Serengeti, Manayra, and Ngorongoro was a very fun and enjoyable adventure. I have no hesitations in recommending Zara Tanzania Adventure to everyone visiting Tanzania for a safari. We were paired with an incredible guide, Shaban, who charmed us with his vast knowledge of nature, intelligence, and wit. Every day in the parks brought us unforgettable wildlife encounters. We saw all the Big Five plus a multitude of many other animals. It was a fun trip that took us through a mix of habitats, including the Ngorongoro highlands, which get quite chilly in the evenings, so make sure to include warm clothes. We are absolutely happy with everything about our trip. It was perfect.Show moreTrip date: July 2025
- VGValentina· July 12th, 2025We expected our safari with Zara Tours to be great, but it was way better than we expected. We chose Zara Tours because of the many great reviews and indeed words do not do justice to the actual experiences. Our guide Tarimo was incredibly amazing. His vast knowledge of the parks and expertise in tracking wild game greatly enhanced our experience. We saw lots of wild animals including lions, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, warthogs, flamingos, hyenas, wildebeest, zebras, monkeys and many stunning landscapes. We are totally happy with Zara Tours for catering to all our needs and giving us a perfect experience.Show moreTrip date: July 2025
- BABirgit· July 3rd, 2025The booking experience with Zayina of Zara Tours was perfect. We chose Tanzania after touring Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda last year, and we are completely satisfied with our experience in Tanzania, having received excellent value for our money. Our guide, Shaban, was very experienced and well-versed in the three parks we visited - Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. He knew the routes expertly and drove the 4x4 skillfully along the park trails, leading us to many close encounters with wildlife. At one point, we literally had a cheetah right on top of our car, which then calmly walked off and disappeared behind the tall grass in the Serengeti. We were very impressed by Shaban's knowledge of the animals, including the birds and plants we observed. We loved the choice of accommodations in and near the parks. Our selected favorites included the Serengeti Safari Lodge, Ngorongoro Wild Camp, and Highview Hotel. They were all impressive, featuring great food, amazing rooms, and excellent service.Show moreTrip date: June 2025
- SEStefania· June 15th, 2025The overall experience on our safari to Tanzania was incredible. We are sure that having Mmari as our guide made all the difference because he made the time we spent together memorable. we had many wildlife encounters where he taught a lot about the particular animal and answered all our questions. The trip went smoothly thanks to a great team back at office who took care of all the planning and logistics. We were well taken care of throughout the entire trip. Given another chance I would not change anything, probably just have the tour running in perpetuity.Show moreTrip date: June 2025
- BMBreanna· June 7th, 2025Zayina was always a message away and really played a great role in designing our safari. We went for middle level accommodations and we were pleasantly surprised with what is termed as middle level because to us, Ngorongoro Wild Camp, Serengeti Safari Lodge, Serengeti Wildebeest Camp were definitely luxury properties. We were able to cover 4 parks in 11 days and we had a wild and fun adventure, which is due to good planning coupled by the excellent support by our guide Munsa. Actually he is the reason we enjoyed the trip so much with his easy going nature, excellent driver and an expert guide.Show moreTrip date: May 2025
- RRocio· June 2nd, 2025We had an amazing safari through, Tarangire, Manyara Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We are very impressed with our guide Sebastian. He was outstanding as a guide, a solid driver, caring and flexible enough to allow our input regarding the trip. He worked tirelessly to find the animals that we wanted to see. His insight about the safari made the trip interesting as he freely shared stories from his exploits in the bush. We saw lots of animals, including some special moments like when we found ourselves in the middle of the wildebeest migration. The trip was seamless with delightful pitstops at the lodges and tented camps. It was really awesome and I would not hesitate to recommend Zara Tanzania to all our friends.Show moreTrip date: May 2025
- MHMathias· June 1st, 2025I only have the best things to say about our just ended safari with Zara Tours. Our safari guide, Shaban came highly recommended by my brother as he had gone on a safari with him last year and he is truly exceptional. Shaban drover carefully and in the parks he navigated the off-road 4x4 with confidence that only comes with experience and knowledge from past safaris. He also caring and fun person to be around and he took our safety very seriously. The lodgings, service and food exceeded our expectations as the quality of service was top notch.Show moreTrip date: May 2025
- RRuud· May 29th, 2025A remarkable experience from start to finish. We had isdory meet us at at KIA and then dropped at the delightful Springlands Hotel where we spent our first and last night in Tanzania. We had eleven unforgettable days of adventure as we explored Tarangire, Lake Mayara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Natron with our guide Munsa. The beautiful landscapes, wildlife and Tanzanian people made the trip one that will live in our minds for a very long time. I must say the exceptional service by Zara Tanzania Adventures is what separates them from the other because they do it so passionately, have experienced friendly guides, great vehicles and that extra dedication to giving clients the most memorable experiences.Show moreTrip date: May 2025
- AAdrianna· May 27th, 2025Our experience doing the 11 day safari with Zara Tanzania Adventures was simply the most wonderful experience of our lifetime. We have been on other safaris but this one was special! To begin with we crafted an itinerary that suited us perfectly with the help of Zayina. When we arrived we found the team from Zara ready for us. All the lodges and places that we were to stay in or visit had been organized beforehand. Our guide Hashim made all the difference. The parks were wonderful and had lots of animals but having Hashim with us added that an extra punch with his descriptions of the parks, the people, their culture and so much more. It helped that he is very experienced in taking on guests to the parks and also loves doing his job very much. I would highly recommend Zara Tanzania Adventures for safaris. They also do Kilimanjaro trekking and I will do it with them soonShow moreTrip date: May 2025
- SStephanie· May 26th, 2025My husband and I travelled to Tanzania for a safari in May 2025. We planned our itinerary with Zayina and she was helpful making the process smooth. She helped us get all the options that we wanted within the budget. Juma was kind, knowledgeable and full of positive energy which made him the perfect guide. He put in every effort to ensure that we saw all the animals that we wanted to see including a rare sighting of the African leopard. One great bonus of booking with Zara was getting their luxury lodges at aa highly discounted rate. Based on our experience, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Zara Tanzania Adventures for safari adventures in Tanzania.Show moreTrip date: May 2025

Traveler•Written June 2025In addition to the game drives in the selected parks we are hoping that we can see the great migration, do a night a safari, a walking tour and also some cultural visit the the Maasai, Datoga or Hadzabe tribes. So which option would you advise us to pick?
- Zara Tours (Zara Tanzania Adventures)Operator•Written June 2025
Maasai: Visiting Maasai villages provides insights into their distinctive clothing, traditional dances, and cattle-centered lifestyle. You can learn about their resilience, spiritual connection to nature, and vibrant customs.

Asked on April 15th, 2025What is the best time of year to do the tour? I will be coming as a solo traveler. Is this tour appropriate for that?
- Zara Tours (Zara Tanzania Adventures)Operator•Written April 2025
Yes we confirm the solo traveler and we joined then with other travelers
- Zara Tours (Zara Tanzania Adventures)Operator•Written April 2025
The best time for a safari in Tanzania is generally during the dry season, from June to October. This period offers ideal conditions for wildlife viewing, with animals gathering around water sources and the landscape drying out, making spotting easier

Asked on March 15th, 2025i am greatly interested in witnessing the great migration (mara river crossing) this july-aug-sept (my dates are flexible depending on what is the best time for the great migration this year (2025)). Which dates offer the best options for the great migration viewing?

Traveler•Written March 2025looking at brief itinerary, i see that one of the checks are "witness the great wilderbeast migration" but when i look at the details, i don't see many details about the great migration. can you please elaborate on where will we see the great migration and how many days will be dedicated to the great migration?
- Zara Tours (Zara Tanzania Adventures)Operator•Written March 2025
For the best chances to witness the Great Migration in 2025, target your travel dates between July and October, specifically focusing on the northern Serengeti and the Maasai Mara, where the iconic river crossings occur. Here's a more detailed breakdown: July to Early September: This period is known for the dramatic river crossings of the Grumeti and Mara Rivers, which are a highlight of the migration. Late July to Early September: The herds are typically in the northern Serengeti, near the Mara River, making this the prime time for witnessing the crossings. August and Early September: This is a peak period for migration activity, with large herds crossing the rivers. October: The migration continues, with herds moving south towards the calving grounds in the southern Serengeti.

Asked on January 17th, 2025Is it possible to get the 50 % discount for Feb 1st as well? Also, is it recommendable to go in February if my main focus is the Safari/seeing the Big 5 and other animals - or would it be way better to go in September?
- L
Lydia
Traveler•Written January 2025Is it possible to see the animals during this time in the migration? Will they be in the southern/central part of Serengeti?
- Zara Tours (Zara Tanzania Adventures)Operator•Written January 2025
You can see the Great Migration at any time of year. The roughly two million wildebeest, starts in the south of the Serengeti, with the birth of half a million calves between January and March.
- Zara Tours (Zara Tanzania Adventures)Operator•Written January 2025
February is also good because it is a hot and dry time that will bring out big game and birds. Tanzania in February is an excellent opportunity to explore the famous Northern Safari Circuit because there are usually slightly fewer tourists in the national parks. The calving season of wildebeest occurs in the Ndutu Region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area
