World Adventure Tours has been our go to travel company in Africa! Once again, thank you Patrick for your help in putting our Kilimanjaro tour of Tanzania together! It was fabulous! Our guide, Brighton was friendly, professional and very informative. He really was excellent and I would certainly recommend him to others. The accommodations were great. Patrick’ suggestion to have a tour guide for the 7 day trip to Uhuru peak was an excellent idea. Food was great too. Lots of choices for each meal. Our daily hikes were perfect. We were lucky and saw colobus monkey in the first and second day of our hike. Sad to say goodbye to Africa!”

I have finally conquered Kilimanjaro with what I presume to the best trekking team in Tanzania. No wonder Zara Tours was recently feted as the best Kilimanjaro climbing operator because they are excellent! I booked with Zara because they had so many excellent reviews and did not want to place my life in the hands of novices. I joined a group of 4 other climbers doing the Lemosho route. Upon my arrival, I was transferred to Springlands Hotel where I met Martin our guide and wonderful Zara staff as their office is within the hotel complex. After lunch and swim, Martin inspected my climbing gear to check for completeness. Our climb under Martin was remarkable. He coordinated the whole team of guides, porters and cook. He is very experienced and great leader from the way he handled his team. Everyone knew what they were expected to do and you could tell that they have done this many times over. It was reassuring to see that Martin was very particular about our health making daily health checks. Our cook Max, cooked very delicious meals and I appreciate his efforts! I count myself lucky that I did experience altitude sickness like one lady in our group who almost gave up at Stella Point, but Martin gave her something from his flask and she recovered and made it to the summit with us. My appreciation goes to the whole Zara team who were involved in one way or another in making my climb successful. You are truly the best!
