With their support we were able to complete the trek safely and comfortably, learn about the history and geography of the area, and trek at a pace that allowed us to soak in the beauty of Patagonia. The cooks prepared amazing meals and were fun, friendly and accommodating and the porters took great care of our belongings.Show more

- SAStefanie Lara· January 26th, 2025Unprofessional from start to finish … this tour was probably the biggest expaction mismatch I’ve experienced travelling over 70 countries and doing 10+ guided hiking trips. I struggled to get bookings directly with the refugios so weighed up this guided tour option against an unguided fully booked package for the same price with another company. I sincerely wish I’d been patient and continued trying with the refugios, or gone with another unguided experience with better quality accommodations and restaurant catering (to match the price), and a more social experience. Contrary to my expectations the guided tour was not a group - it was just the guide, so it was actually quite an isolating experience. Rather than being in the nice rooftop pre pitched tents or dorms like others on pre booked tours who paid similar prices, I was in a tent carried by the guide or a basic pre-pitched tent, which left me feeling like I paid for first class but got seated in an exit row in economy. Similarly, the guide cooked all the meals and, whilst he was a good cook, vegetarian wasn’t his forte, and this meant I missed out on the experience of sharing meals with other travellers. I also felt like the guide was cooking for himself - despite being the only guest, but he didn’t ask what I wanted. The pre- and post-trip accommodation was also a debacle and I had to chase repeatedly for details to be confirmed. - JMJames· May 11th, 2024My son and I did the 'O' circuit of Torres del Paine which Unu Raymi managed to arrange for us at short notice. It was a fantastic 7-day trip with stunning scenery. What made it special for us was we had a guide (Ivan) and porter (Hugo) who taught us so much about the land the flora and fauna and the history of Chile and. Patagonia. We also met many people doing the same route as us worldwide. - JMJoel· January 31st, 2024I booked the 8-day ‘O’ Circuit trek in Torres del Paine through Unu Raymi and completed the trek in late December 2023. The booking process prior to the trek was quite straightforward, and James was able to answer the various questions that I had. The trek itself was fantastic and I had an excellent team in Francisco (as my guide) and Teo (as the cook/porter) out on the trail. Francisco obviously knew the trail well, and in addition had very good knowledge about the plants we saw and was able to point out the names of the various mountains throughout the trek, as well as being very good at spotting the condors high above on several days. Teo did a superb job with the meals on the trek. He was able to accommodate my request for vegan food and I was amazed at the variety of the different meals he was able to prepare, including fresh vegetables at various times, and every meal tasted great.
