Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok
You'll arrive at either Suvarnabhumi or Donmuang Airport and get picked up for the drive to your hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to spend however you like. Bangkok has incredible street food stalls scattered throughout the city, tuk tuks waiting on every corner, and plenty of neighborhoods worth wandering through on foot.

- Day 2
Ayutthaya - Lopburi - Phitsanulok
An early start takes you about 76 kilometers north to Ayutthaya, the former capital. You'll spend the morning at the UNESCO archaeological park walking through Wat Chaimongkol, Wat Mahathat with its famous Buddha head wrapped in tree roots, and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet. Then it's on to Lopburi where hundreds of long-tailed macaques hang around Phra Prang Sam Yod. Grab lunch before heading to Phitsanulok for the night.

- Day 3
Sukhothai - Phayao - Chiang Rai
After breakfast you'll head to Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO site with ruins from the 13th and 14th centuries when it was the ancient capital. The main draw is the White Buddha at Wat Sri Chum, a massive 15-meter statue sitting atop a 32-meter pedestal. Lunch comes next, then you'll drive toward Chiang Rai with a stop at Phayao Lake. You can walk along the water there and feed the fish before arriving in Chiang Rai by evening.

- Day 4
Golden Triangle - Chiang Mai
Start your morning at Wat Rong Khun, the striking white temple designed by artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, followed by Wat Rong Suea Ten with its bright blue color. Mid-morning you'll reach the Golden Triangle at Sop Ruak where the borders of Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand meet. There you can see the Mekong and Ruak Rivers and check out the Hall of Opium before lunch. The afternoon drive to Chiang Mai takes about 3 hours, and you'll reach Wat Doi Suthep in the evening, the sacred temple sitting on a hilltop 15 kilometers northwest of the city.

- Day 5
Araksa Tea Garden - Chiang Mai
You'll travel to Araksa Tea Garden in Mae Tang District to learn how organic Assam tea grows and gets processed there. You can practice picking tea leaves yourself and watch the hand-roasting process. Lunch and tea tasting happen at the Araksa Tea House. By 3:00 PM you'll be back at your hotel, then head to the airport for a flight scheduled after 6:00 PM.
