Itinerary
- Days 1 - 3
Venice
You'll spend your first few days in Venice, a city built right on the lagoon without any cars to navigate around. The backstreets are where you'll find the real character of the place, away from the crowds that cluster around the main sights. Wander through the narrow passages and let yourself get a bit lost, since that's when you'll stumble onto local spots and quieter squares. By the end of day 3, you'll head to the train station and take the 2.5-hour ride to Florence.

Rome is where you'll eat like the locals do, hitting up gelaterias for afternoon treats and grabbing slices of pizza from neighborhood spots. You'll sit at cafes and trattorias, sampling what people actually eat when they're not tourists. Beyond the food, there's Vatican City to see, the smallest country in the world sitting right inside the city.
