Itinerary
- Day 1
Salvador da Bahia to Lençóis
Your day starts early with a transfer from your Salvador hotel to the bus station, then you'll take a public bus toward Lençóis, getting there around 2 pm. Once you check into your pousada, a local guide takes you around the city to get oriented. From there you hike to the Primavera waterfall, which drops about 4 meters, then head over to see the Serrano River. Before heading back to rest, you'll climb to a hilltop viewpoint for panoramic views of the area.

Chapada Diamantina Exploration
You'll head out at 8 am on a full day tour through Chapada Diamantina. First stop is Lapa Doce cave to see the stalactite formations, then Pratinha cave where there's a natural clear pool you can see into. The Blue Cave comes next, and the way sunlight hits the water there creates some nice color effects. You'll also climb Pai Inácio hill, which sits at 1,240 m and gives you some of the best views in the region. Lunch gets included at a local farm partway through.

Waterfall Hikes in Chapada Diamantina
Your hike today goes to Mosquito waterfall, named after the small diamonds found in this region that locals call mosquitoes. You'll spend time at the waterfall itself. After that, lunch happens at a local farm. Then you head to Devil's Pool, which is a waterfall flowing through a gorge. The water there has harmless acids that make it so dark you can't see your hand in front of your face. Once you've seen both spots, you'll head back to your pousada in Lençóis.

Lençóis to Salvador da Bahia
Around midday you take a public bus from Lençóis back toward Salvador. When you arrive, you'll transfer either to your separately booked hotel or head straight to the airport, depending on your next plans.
