Customer Reviews
- Tiffany· July 21st, 2025The everyday tour and itinerary are overall good. The tour guide, driver, and coordinator from LimaTour were superb and went above and beyond our expectations. However, we are unlikely to book any more tours with TourRadar. First, we didn't know the TourRadar outsourced our tour to LimaTour. LimaTour met us at the Cusco airport, not TourRadar, and told us to get into their van. We, a family and friends of 4, were split into 2 groups, and remained separated throughout the tour, despite repeated requests to put us back into the same group. On the tour to Moray and Mara, the tour finished at 10:30 AM, we were dropped off in the middle of the street and picked up by another smaller car to take us to a beautiful but faraway hotel in the milddle of no where, we spent $80 soles to take us back into town to get something to eat. We didn't expect to get a different tour guide every day, we were with a different group every day, despite all, we all got picked up and transferred, no luggage was lost, that was amazing. At the end, we got picked up separately at the different hotels, and met at the Lima airport and took the same flight back. I believe LimaTour just followed the instructions they were provided by TourRadar. We just took a dream vacation at the same time, separately.Show more
- Carol· July 19th, 2025This tour was very organized and well put together. The interesting thing was that you didn't tour with a group but were moved around with different people each time, in other words, it was somewhat independent. The tour guides were different each day and were very thorough both with cultural information and instructions for the next day. The whole thing was very efficiently put together. Two of the hotels we stayed at were absolutely outstanding. One was just okay but with a great location. I recommend that you request specific seats for the train ride as ours had no window on the way back and a train ride like that requires a window. Overall, we were very happy with the tour.Show more

Asked on November 28th, 2024looking at a 4 day amazon trip. On all your trips do you go and see pink dolphin's or could you recommend which tour to take
- LimaToursOperator•Written November 2024
Regarding your enquiry, please notice that the habitat of the pink dolphins is at the Amazon that it is located at Iquitos and you are requesting Reserva Amazonica that it is at Puerto Maldonado. In case you want to see pink dolphins, you can take the cruises at the Iquitos, that we can provide.

Asked on October 17th, 2024Can you explain the options if the flight does not arrive prior to 10am? Flights from Cusco do not arrive until 12noon, and I prefer not to have her stay overnight in Lima if it's not necessary.
- LimaToursOperator•Written October 2024
Regarding your question. notice that the transfer for all the flights that arrives at Puerto Maldonado are included. In case you arrive at noon, will be perfect, because you will arrive for the lunch time and you won't lose any of what it is included in the package.

Asked on June 25th, 2023I am looking for a tour in the Amazon Rainforest - would 3 days be sufficient or is 4 usually recommended? Regarding the accommodation, will there also be time spent there or is it mostly outdoors for the entire day? Trying to plan what sort of clothing to bring, and if any vaccines will need to be done before.
- LimaToursOperator•Written June 2023
The 4 days/3 nights program is recommended so that you can learn more about the Peruvian Jungle. To enter the Peruvian Jungle, the yellow fever vaccine is not mandatory, but it is recomendable to take it. Cotton clothing and long sleeves: To travel to the jungle it is important to wear comfortable, light and quick-drying clothing, preferably cotton. We recommend that the clothes cover the arms and legs and are light in color to avoid insect bites and possible chafing. Also, wear closed shoes or high boots to protect yourself from vegetation, insects and water in swampy areas.

Traveler•Written July 2023Is it better to go straight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, or to fly back to Lima then fly/bus out again? If I book the 3 days stay, would there be the possibility of extending 1 more day later if I enjoyed it?

Traveler•Written July 2023Is it fine if I wear trail running shoes in the Amazon? Or would I need to purchase hiking boots that cover the ankle?
- LimaToursOperator•Written July 2023
Of course it is better to take a direct flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, but Latam airlines does not have direct flights everyday. Yes it is possible but it depends of the availability of the logde.
- LimaToursOperator•Written July 2023
It is recommendable to wear trekking shoes. Also, The lodge will provide boots but if you want you can bring your own boots.

Asked on June 5th, 2023I will be finishing a Galapagos cruise on December 13. What is the starting point and how does one get there from Quito?
- LimaToursOperator•Written June 2023
The passenger from Quito must go to Lima and from there to Puerto Maldonado. The best thing would be to know the arrival time of the passenger to Quito, since depending on this we would have to see if he has to spend a night in Lima and just the next day go to Reserva Amazonica it is recommended to arrive before noon.
