Nice to Arles
You'll arrive in Nice and head to Arles by transfer. After settling into your suite on the Scenic Space-Ship, there's a cocktail reception this evening. Arles itself is a former Roman town with significant historical sites, so you'll have plenty to explore in the coming days.

- Day 2
Arles to Avignon
This day in Arles gives you several options. Julius Caesar founded this city, and it's filled with Roman ruins plus strong connections to Van Gogh's time here. You can take a guided tour, visit Les Baux for olive farm tastings, try a painting class on board, or check out lavender-based cosmetics workshops. After lunch, the ship heads toward Avignon.

Avignon
Avignon, known as the City of the Popes, has medieval architecture and a 14th-century papal palace to see. Your choices include guided walking tours, the ancient Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard, shopping at local markets with the ship's chef followed by cooking demonstrations, or wine tastings in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. You'll have free time in the afternoon, then a classical concert at the palace in the evening.

In the afternoon, the ship cruises toward Vienne, and you can join on-board cooking classes or head to the provincial town of Grignan if you prefer.

You'll wake in Mâcon, a riverside town with pastel-colored buildings and old churches. It's positioned near the Burgundy wine region, so your options lean that direction. Take tours through the Beaujolais region visiting local vintners for tastings, explore the medieval town of Cluny and its historic Benedictine Abbey, tour the 1606 Château de Cormatin with its gardens, or visit a goat cheese farm for tastings.
