Itinerary
- Day 1
Nice to Tarascon
You'll arrive in Nice and transfer to Tarascon to board your river ship. The afternoon gives you time to settle into your suite, take in the views from the Sun Deck, and get comfortable with your surroundings. There's a welcome reception this evening where you'll meet fellow travelers.
- Day 2
Arles
You wake up in Arles, the ancient Roman city Julius Caesar founded. Pick a morning activity from several options: take a guided walking tour to see the Las Arenas arena and other Roman ruins, visit an olive farm and the medieval village of Le Baux, join a painting class, or explore a lavender farm workshop. After lunch, the ship heads toward Avignon.

- Day 3
Avignon
Avignon, known as the City of the Popes, offers multiple morning choices. You could do a guided walk through the historic center and Pope's Palace, visit the ancient Pont du Gard aqueduct, shop at the local market with the ship's chef and then join a cooking demonstration, or take a wine tasting in Chateauneuf du Pape. Your afternoon is free to wander or head up to Le Rocher des Doms for views over the city. Later, there's a classical concert inside the Palais des Papes.

You'll reach Viviers, a medieval town that feels like an open-air museum with heritage dating back centuries. Choose between a guided walking tour with a local expert covering the Cathedral of St. Vincent and French Resistance history, or take an excursion to Grignan to see its castle and Collegiate Church. After that, relax on deck as you cruise toward Vienne.

Vienne sits on the river with 2,000 years of history visible throughout. The morning gives you two options: join a walking tour of the preserved Roman theatre built into the hillside, or take a cycling tour that covers the city's Roman sites and includes a stop at Ile Barlet River Island.

Mâcon
You're in Macon, a riverside town with pastel buildings and old churches, positioned perfectly for exploring south Burgundy wine country. Select from several activities: drive through the Beaujolais region to meet a vintner and taste wines, visit the medieval town of Cluny and its Benedictine Abbey, tour the 1606 Chateau de Cormatin with its manicured gardens, or go to an organic goat cheese farm to see production and try cheese paired with local wine.

You're staying overnight, so there's time to explore the city's restaurants in the evening.
