- Day 1
Arrival in Hanoi
You'll arrive in Hanoi and head to your colonial hotel for a two-night stay. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and get comfortable with your surroundings.

Hanoi
Pick one of three options to explore Hanoi: check out the History Museum and Hoa Lo Prison, wander through Ho Chi Minh Quarter with his Mausoleum and Temple of Literature, or visit Bat Trang village to see traditional porcelain making and prepare your own lunch. Later you'll travel through the old quarter by electric car to see a water puppet theatre performance with backstage access.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
After breakfast you'll check out and drive about four hours through farmland in the Red River Delta heading to Halong Bay. You'll board the luxury Au Co ship for a two-night cruise through this World Heritage site.

- Day 4
Halong Bay
Start the morning with a Tai Chi lesson on the sun deck while the ship moves deeper into the national park. Later you'll kayak through limestone caves and bike around Cat Ba Island. Back on the ship, you'll watch the sunset with wine tasting overlooking the karst landscape, and have the chance to try squid fishing from the boat after dinner.

Halong Bay to Hanoi

Hanoi to Hoi An
After breakfast you'll head to the airport and fly to Danang, then continue south past Marble Mountains to Hoi An. You'll stay at a resort for three nights with daily spa sessions included and can choose from three restaurants in the atmospheric old town for dining.

Later visit Duc Son Pagoda to meet the nuns and learn about their orphanage work.
