Hanoi
You'll arrive in Vietnam and check into your luxury colonial hotel for a two-night stay. Settle in at your own pace and explore the immediate surroundings without a set itinerary.

Hanoi
This morning you can choose between three options: visit the History Museum and Hoa Lo Prison, tour Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and Temple of Literature followed by egg coffee in the Old Quarter, or head to the traditional pottery village of Bat Trang to learn about Vietnamese culture. Later, an electric car takes you through the Old Quarter before you enjoy a water puppet performance with VIP seating and backstage access.

Travel via the Hai Van Pass to Hue, the former imperial capital. In the afternoon, see Hue's Imperial Citadel and wander through its grand ruins. Later there's a traditional Vietnamese family-style dinner at the private Garden House with Royal Hue court music and wine.

A calm four-hour sail brings you to an anchorage off Cai Be for the night.

Before dinner, a lion dance is performed by locals on the Sundeck. The ship departs for a six-hour sail to Tan Chau.
