Oaxaca
Your driver will meet you when you land in Oaxaca and take you straight to your hotel in the city center. After you settle in, the day is open for whatever you want to do. You can rest up from traveling, take a walk around the neighborhood, or start getting a feel for the city on your own terms.

- Day 2
Oaxaca
This is a full day exploring villages known for their traditional crafts. You'll start in San Martin Tilcajete where local artisans carve alebrijes, those colorful wooden figures. From there, head to San Bartolo Coyotepec to see how potters create barro negro pottery using techniques passed down for generations. After lunch, you'll visit Mitla, an old Zapotec ceremonial site with intricate stone mosaics built right into the structures.

Morning takes you up to Monte Alban, a UNESCO site sitting high above the valley with views stretching across the landscape. You'll walk through ancient temples, tombs, and ceremonial plazas while your guide explains what each area meant. Later in the afternoon, head back into the city for a food tour through Benito Juarez and 20 de Noviembre markets. You'll taste tlayudas, local cheese, mole, chocolate, and mezcal while walking through the busy stalls.
