Halifax
You'll arrive in Halifax and get settled into your accommodation right in the city center overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This gives you time to drop off your bags and get oriented before the evening.

Halifax
This is your day to explore Halifax on your own schedule. Walk through the museums and art galleries, wander the charming waterfront districts with their historic streets, and check out the local markets. You'll get a real sense of the city's maritime heritage and vibrant culture at your own pace.

Halifax to Baddeck
You'll leave Halifax in the morning with your included transfer to New Glasgow, where you'll meet your tour director. From there, you head toward Cape Breton Island and cross the scenic Canso Causeway. Later, you'll take a sightseeing boat tour on Bras d'Or Lake with great panoramic views before arriving in Baddeck for a two-night stay.

Baddeck
Today you'll drive the Cabot Trail along Cape Breton's rugged northern shoreline. You'll explore Cape Breton Highlands National Park to see the towering plateaus and dramatic coastal views, then visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site to learn about the inventor who settled on the island.

Baddeck to Halifax
You'll visit the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, which is a carefully recreated settlement from 1744 showing what New France looked like. After spending time there, you'll trace the scenic shores of Bras d'Or Lake back toward the mainland and return to Halifax for your final night.
