Lima
Your private driver meets you at Lima airport and takes you to your hotel. The evening is yours to settle in, walk around the neighborhood, or just rest after your flight.

Lima to Arequipa
You'll fly to Arequipa and connect with your guide at the airport for the ride to your hotel. This afternoon, walk through Arequipa's historic center with your local guide, including the Santa Catalina Convent with its colorful walls and passages throughout.

Arequipa to Colca Valley
Start very early heading to Colca Valley, driving through dramatic mountain landscapes and passing the National Reserve where you'll see vicunas. The Mirador de los Volcanes gives you views of the volcanoes. Later you'll reach Chivay where there's time to wander the town and check out the local market before heading back to your hotel.

Colca Valley to Puno
Travel to Puno and learn about the Uros people living on floating islands made from totora plants. You'll see the islands and local handmade crafts. The Quechua and Taquileño communities live on larger islands without electricity or paved roads. After you arrive, pop into local restaurants and cafés to try fresh food. Rest well tonight and drink plenty of water since you're at high altitude.

Landmarks/POIs Uros Islands - Day 5
Lake Titicaca Islands
After breakfast, spend a full day on Lake Titicaca (about nine hours total). Visit the floating Uros Islands to see how people live there. Head to Taquile Island for lunch with quinoa soup, fresh fish, and vegetables. Walk around Taquile, which has no cars and very little electricity, and see the traditional weaving. By evening, take the boat back to Puno and return to your hotel.

Puno to Cusco
Bus to Cusco through beautiful mountain terrain. Stop at Pukara to see the archaeological site and its ancient ceramics and sculptures. Later you'll reach La Raya, the highest point, with snowy Chimboya mountain in view. Grab lunch at a local restaurant. After that, check out Raqchi temple of Wiracocha and the Andahuaylillas Chapel known for its golden ceiling. Arrive in Cusco by evening and transfer to your hotel.

Cusco
Rest and relax this morning. Afternoon starts with Cusco's main landmarks including the Cathedral in the main square and the Temple of the Sun. Head to Sacsayhuaman fortress with its massive Inca stones, then continue through Qenqo fortress with its passages and canals, Puca Pucará storage site, and Tambomachay water ritual area. Return to Cusco for the evening.

Cusco to Sacred Valley
Travel early through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit Pisaq Market for quality local crafts and goods. Lunch happens in Urubamba, then you'll see the Ollantaytambo fortress. You'll stay overnight in the Sacred Valley so you're rested for Machu Picchu tomorrow.

Machu Picchu
Take the train in the morning to Aguas Calientes, then ride a bus up to Machu Picchu for a guided tour. This Inca sanctuary was built as a rest residence for Pachacutec and it's one of the 7 Wonders and a UNESCO site. You'll have time to explore, then catch the train back to Cusco in the afternoon.
