My wife and I had researched all the essential attractions for first-time visitors to Japan and were thrilled to find them all included in the itinerary. We experienced the world’s busiest city, visited Hiroshima—the site of the atomic bombing, explored the historical cities of Nara and Kyoto, and marveled at the wonder of Mount Fuji. - VEVeronika· April 16th, 2025The original tour we booked was changed after we had purchased non-refundable airline tickets, so we didn’t have a choice but to accept the change and go to Hiroshima. The tour starts in Osaka, but there’s no visit to Osaka. The hotel selected (Star Gate) was 1 hour away from the city making impossible to visit it. Our visit to Kyoto was very rushed (coincided with a weekend) and we didn’t see many of the attractions there. We could have benefited with an extra day there. The hotels were tiny and very uncomfortable for someone who is taller than 5’8”. Hiro, our tour guide was very nice, but he could be a little more informative about the sites, history and Japanese culture. He still needs to improve his English to become more fluent and comfortable with the language.Show more

Fuji was useless due to clouds. If there are clouds there isno use to go up there. The guide should have joined us and provided more hands on explanations during site visits rather than just leaving us to figuring things out on our own. The time on the tour was spent with a great mix of free time, time to explore and timed tours. Soya, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing. He gave us highlights and history of each place before we arrived. He made checking in and out of hotels easy and painless. We rarely cancel a departure date. Most of the time if we do, we also have alternative tours with the same departure dates, same return dates, and same start/end cities for the guests to switch over. If we don't have any similar tour to offer, we will notify our guests 3~4 months before the departure date.

Asked on July 25th, 2025Can you elaborate on what vehicles we use on this specific tour to get around? Any bullet trains or trains in general? Or if you use vans, I simply cannot tolerate sitting in uncomfortable seats. If you're using motor coaches (buses) - great... but if you're going with tiny, cramped vans, I just need to work that out. Also, I'm 6'2" tall and need to have a relatively larger bed. Twins or small doubles and queens don't work for me. I need the larger double-double or king. I have a feeling that is not an option on this tour?

Yes we use tour bus for the transportation. Please note that hotel rooms are generally small in Japan and the beds are smaller.

Unfortunately the number of people is still short. We do have the similar Splendid Japan tour guaranteed to operate. This is the similar tour, but Hiroshima is no longer included and is offered as an optional tour with bullet train tickets. But the Splendid Japan itinerary is 300 cheaper per person.

We recommend the twin sharing rooms as the beds are generally smaller in Japan hotels. The beds can be pushed together in some of the hotels(not all of them) during the tour.

Our itinerary does include visiting the 5th station on Mt.Fuji. But it depends on the weather conditions. If it's rainy, the roads become very dangerous and we will change the itinerary. There are currently no onsen experience on the itinerary.
