- Day 1
Santa Cruz
You'll arrive at Viru Viru International Airport and head to your hotel in Santa Cruz. This morning and afternoon, start exploring the city's main attractions. The Main Square and San Lorenzo Cathedral give you a sense of the city's character, and then there's the handicraft market where you can see work from the native oriental community. Wander through the Piraí neighborhood where you'll notice the tropical vegetation everywhere, quite different from what most visitors expect.

Santa Cruz to Sucre
After breakfast, you'll transfer to the airport for your local flight to Sucre. Once you arrive and check in, spend the rest of the day exploring Bolivia's capital. It's one of Latin America's most beautiful cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Asur museum has 12 rooms filled with traditional regional weavings. Head to Recoleta viewpoint for views across the city, then walk through the Cathedral, Prefecture, and Casa de la Libertad. By evening, check out the central market if you still have energy.

Sucre to Tarabuco and Piscili
Early morning you'll travel to Tarabuco, a historic warrior town where one of the first native victories over Spanish rule happened in 1816. The Sunday market is famous for beautiful traditional weavings and textiles. Then head to the village of Piscili where you can meet locals and learn how they weave and what the symbols in their work mean. Around lunch you'll eat fresh local products and see how the villagers work their land. Later in the afternoon, return to Sucre for the evening.

Sucre to Potosí
Leave Sucre and head to Potosí, known as the 'Imperial City of Charles V,' with centuries of history and rich culture. Your main stop is the Casa de la Moneda (Mint), where you'll learn how natives and African slaves minted silver coins during Spanish domination. After that, stroll through the main square and walk around the surrounding streets to see the beautiful facades of the San Lorenzo and San Francisco churches up close.

Potosí to Uyuni
Visit a mine in Cerro Rico, the most significant mining site in Bolivia during the 1950s. You'll have lunch at a local restaurant, then depart for Uyuni. The journey takes you through unique mountain landscapes and small valleys that look like green oases in the middle of nowhere. Along the way you'll see mining sites, and the road offers scenic views throughout, so it's not just getting from point A to point B.

Uyuni Salt Flat Tour
Set out in a 4x4 vehicle to explore the Salar de Uyuni salt flat. You'll visit the Train Cemetery and the town of Colchani, where salt is processed using traditional methods. Then continue to Incahuasi Island, about 80 km away. From the summit with giant cacti surrounding you, the views of the salt flat and the Tunupa volcano are hard to describe. You'll have time to take photos where perspective tricks look really cool, then grab lunch before heading back to Uyuni.

Uyuni to La Paz via Tiwanaku
Transfer to Uyuni airport in the morning for your flight to La Paz, and staff will help you through boarding. Once you arrive, continue directly to Tiwanaku to explore one of Bolivia's most important archaeological sites. See the Puerta del Sol, various monoliths, and temples including Kalasasaya, Akapana, and the Semisubterráneo Temple. Learn about how the Tiwanaku civilization had advanced knowledge and technology, worshiping the Sun God 'Wiracocha' and Mother Earth 'Pachamama.'

La Paz to Isla del Sol
Travel to Huatajata on Lake Titicaca's shores to see how traditional totora reed rafts are built. Continue to Copacabana to visit the town church, which houses the 'Virgen Morena,' Bolivia's patron saint. Take a private boat to Isla del Sol, the lake's most important ceremonial center. Visit the ruins of Pillkokaina, an ancient Inca palace with views looking out across the lake to both shores. Walk along the south side to take in the beautiful landscapes and get a feel for the place.

Isla del Sol to La Paz
Keep exploring Isla del Sol by visiting the Inca gardens at the Yumani community. You'll dip your hands in the Sacred Water Fountain, then descend the historic Stairs of the Incas. Return by private boat to Copacabana where you'll have lunch. In the afternoon, travel by private transport back to La Paz, which gives you time to relax after a full morning of exploring.

La Paz
Spend the day exploring La Paz itself. Visit Plaza Murillo, the Government Palace, the Legislative Palace, and the Metropolitan Cathedral to see the city's important landmarks. Take the cable car for fantastic views of the city built between mountains, which really shows you the scale of where you are. Walk through the traditional sector and discover the Street of the Witches with its unique shops and energy. End the day at the Valley of the Moon, a unique landscape near the city where erosion created stone formations that actually do look like a lunar landscape.
