After breakfast, you can choose to take a full-day trip to Transylvania visiting Bran Castle, the medieval town of Braov, and Peles Castle if you want. Otherwise, you'll have leisure time to spend in Bucharest. Either way, you'll have another night in Bucharest.

Bucharest - Veliko Tarnovo - Sofia
You'll have breakfast, then transfer to Sofia with a lunch break in Veliko Tarnovo, which used to serve as capital of the Bulgarian Empire. Once you reach Sofia, check into your hotel and have free time to walk around the city however you'd like.

Sofia - Skopje
You'll have a hearty breakfast and then join a guided tour of Sofia's major sites including Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, St. Sofia Basilica, the National Art Gallery, and Presidential Palace. After that, you'll travel to Skopje where you'll check out Kale Fortress, Stone Bridge, Macedonia Square with the Alexander the Great statue, and Mustafa Pasha Mosque before heading to your hotel.

Skopje - Prizren - Tirana
After breakfast, you're heading toward Tirana with an optional stop at Matka Canyon for 25 EUR. The route includes a visit to Prizren in Kosovo where you'll see Ottoman architecture like Prizren Castle with its panoramic views, Sinan Pasha Mosque, White Drin River, and Sadrvan Square. There's time to shop for local crafts and try traditional food before continuing to Tirana.

From there, transfer to Ohrid, known as the Balkans' pearl, and explore the Old Town with its scenery including Ohrid Port, Quarantine Church, Ancient Via Egnatia, Hagia Sophia Church, Hagia Sophia Monastery, and Samoil's Fortress overlooking Lake Ohrid.
