Itinerary
- Day 1
Ouarzazate to M'hamid
You'll meet at 7 am and head out by 4x4 through Tizi-N-Tichka col toward M'hamid. The drive takes you past Tamdakhte Kasbah and Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah before stopping in Ouarzazate for lunch. From there, continue to Zagora, passing through Agdz where you'll see panoramic views of the Draa valley, then travel along the Tanskhirt valley. If you're interested, there are optional stops at Tamgroute's Koranic library, the underground Kasbah, and local pottery workshops. By evening you'll arrive at M'hamid bivouac for dinner and Sahraoui folklore around the fire, then sleep in nomad tents.

M'hamid to Douib
Starting at 8 am, you'll begin your camel trek with a guide and camel driver through the desert morning. The landscape shifts throughout the day as you trek, and by afternoon you'll break for lunch at the palm grove called Raz Nahal. After that, continue hiking across small dunes to reach camp at Douib for the night.

Douib to Chigaga
The morning continues with camel trekking through desert landscape and open scenery. After lunch and some rest time in the afternoon, you'll switch to a 4x4 for the roughly 1 hour drive to Chigaga grand dunes. Once there, you'll climb the dunes to catch the sunset over the golden sand waves, then stay the evening and night at Chigaga bivouac.

Chigaga to Marrakesh
Leaving Marrakesh, your 4x4 follows a track between Erg Chigaga and the dry bed of Draa, passing near Iriki Lake. You'll continue driving through Foum-Zguid to Taznakht, known for its carpet cooperative. Multiple stops happen between Taznakht and Marrakesh as you make your way back to your hotel.
