- WSWalter· July 20th, 2024Everything was great about the tour. The hotels were by and large topnotch. Our tour guide, Elena, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Our local tour guides were also very solid, especially Peter in Warsaw. My only recommendation would be to include Auschwitz on the regular tour schedule and not as an optional excursion.Show moreBaltic Tours commented on this reviewThank you for nice review. - HHelen· January 28th, 2020We were excited about tour guide! Wow, she was so professional! Would be good to have more time in Vilnius cause we had only sightseeing tour and afternoon took optional excursion to Trakai.Show moreBaltic Tours commented on this reviewDear Helen, thank you for your feedback!Trip date: July 2019
- JJames· January 21st, 2020We really enjoyed the tour! It was some misunderstanding with meeting time on arrival day, despite that all tour was well organised and coordinated.Show moreBaltic Tours commented on this reviewHappy to hear, thank you for your feedback!Trip date: August 2019
- MMagrietMalan· September 18th, 2019The tour agency was unknown to me (i am from South Africa) but from the start I was impressed, ie website info, descriptions, on line communications and pre-tour information - appreciated the info regarding the visa application, It made it possible to deal directly with Baltic Tours. Thus not necessary to work through a 3rd party. (On line payment was initially a bit of an issue but solved by another way.) The hotels (location and quality) were good of which some were excellent. We were a mix of language groups travelling together but well catered for in terms of language preferences. Professional guides- those from Baltic Vision (language & handling "demands" and diverse people) as well as locally. .Never experienced unwillingness to share information. The buses used and drivers were also good. Excursions were guaranteed even if a low number of persons was interested. Enough free time for those wanting to do things at their own leisure.Show moreBaltic Tours commented on this reviewThank you for your feedback!Trip date: August 2019
- Carol Anne· August 23rd, 2019Not advising people of no transport back to hotel, instead of leaving people in the town square. Mix up in meeting place for Jurmala. Latvia mrecure hotel room mediocre at best. Surrounding area under construction. Not a great place. ( Best hotel was radisson blu in lithuania )Show moreBaltic Tours commented on this reviewWe are sorry for inconvenience caused.Trip date: July 2019

- TthomasBaxter· July 25th, 2018I have never been on a guided bus tour, so this review is without comparisons. I thought the beginning was a shambles - the hotel change to an area so far out of the city did not correspond with your stated guidelines. This was compounded by the hotel being very badly briefed about our arrival and the the guide not able to turn up because of airline issues. Somehow your organisation's back up process was extremely lacking . There was therefore a lot of discontent among my fellow passengers - especially the American contingent.. Elena's arrival made a huge difference, she is very confident, professional, knowledgeable and mist of all patient. The latter she needed in spades because of the continuing complaining and constant repeat questions from a section of the American group (I will never travel with Americans again, they are so ignorant, loud and with a supreme sense of entitlement) . So full marks to your representative. . The others used along the way were also up to their jobs. I think the tour would be more enjoyable if it was extended a few more days so that the long distances could be cut down. 8-9 hour days traveling between the main locations was too long. All the towns were great to visit and the information provided by Elena and the other guides was invaluable. I personally enjoyed the overnight visit to the Mragowe lake resort at (for a break). I do think your itinerary has to be improved as to not expecting passengers to find their own way back to town after the town visit. This was especially unfair at Krakow where the hotel was out of town. Also the cost of some of your add-on trips was expensive. For example I joined an organised tour to the salt mines for less than half the price - similarly with the concert at Riga. So overall the trip allowed me to visit quite wonderful towns in Poland and the Baltics with a great tour guide, but with some misgivings which I hope you take as constructive. - JBJoy· July 24th, 2018Disappointed with the hotel locations, particularly Krakov, 20 minute bus ride from the main centre is unacceptable. Riga was the only location that was right in the middle of the old town and wonderful to be able to walk around at ease and not get local transport , a taxi, or at least a 10 minute walk back to the hotel . The hotels were all fine except again for Krakov, 3 star, not 4 and on a major freeway next to a petrol station and opposite Ikea - not a good start. Our guide, Elena was excellent, a very calm lady who dealt well with all the different personalities and was very informative on each county's history.Show moreBaltic Tours commented on this reviewThank you for your feedback!Trip date: June 2018

Traveler•Written November 2024Is there a chance we can take the night train to Gdansk on Sunday and sightsee in Gdansk all day monday and take the night train back to Krakow on Monday night? If yes, will you be able to organize an all day tour. Alternatively, is there a lot more to see in Krakow itself where we can spend sunday evening to Tuesday?
- Baltic ToursOperator•Written November 2024
Distance between Krakow and Gdansk is more than 500 km. There is a night train (8 hrs) and day train (5 hrs). I suppose you are interested in night train which has sleeping beds, right? Most of customers who have extra time in Krakow prefer to go to one day Zakopane (Tatra mountains) tour. Krakow was a royal town, has many events, restaurants, things to see and explore.
