Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Essaouira

Your driver collects you at 8am and heads south on the motorway through argan tree forests toward Essaouira. This coastal town sits right by the water with blue and white buildings lining the streets. At the seafront fish market, you'll pick out fresh-caught fish that gets prepared right there for you to eat. After that, walk through the windy streets checking out local handicraft shops and thuja wood furniture makers. You'll spend the night in a riad.

    Included Activities

    • Visit Essaouira seafront and select freshly caught fish for preparation

    Optional Activities

    • Explore local handicraft shops along the streets
    • Browse thuja wood furniture and carved artifacts

Then drive upward into the Anti Atlas mountains, passing through Tighmi and Kerdous mountain passes on your way to Tafraoute. Later, travel north on the mountain road alongside the Ait Baha river to reach Taroudant, called 'the little Marrakesh' for its impressive ramparts and town walls. Spend time exploring the town before staying overnight in a riad.

We loved our tour. Ismael our driver was attentive to our needs. The riads we stayed in and the experiences we had were great for introducing us to traditional Morocco. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Thank you for an amazing experience. Mustafa was fun, caring, informative and very knowledgeable about all the areas we visited. We learnt so much from him. The accomodation was excellent and the recommendation to upgrade our tent in the desert was definitely worth it. Our guide in the desert, Saed, was also fun and attentive. For future travellers make sure you have a long scarf for wind protection in the desert, just in case. We travelled in a spacious air con van which was definitely needed. Thank you for an amazing experience. Morocco has been fabulous, especially the Sahara. I would definitely use this company again. Shukran Tour Radar and Mustafa. 🤎💙🩵

My wife and I just did a 8 day tour through Marocco with Private Desert Tours and we had the best experience possible! We started from Marrakesh and went to Merzouga Desert, Fes, Chefshouan, etc. Everything was perfect. The hotels (Riads and Casas) were amazing, the transportation was very comfortable, we had guides waiting for us in every main city and tourist location, the food was incredible. I extra thanks to our guide and driver Ismail. He made everything even more special. Not only an amazing guide and driver, but great DJ and friend. Look no further! You just found the best option available for Marocco tours.
