Itinerary
- Day 1
Tirana to Ohrid to Korca
You'll head south from Tirana early in the morning toward Pogradec, making a stop at Drilon's scenic oasis area along the way. The drive takes you through some nice landscape before crossing into Macedonia. Once there, you'll spend time in the Ohrid Lake region, which has a lot to see. The UNESCO-listed Old Town of Ohrid is the main draw, where you can walk through and check out the Icons Gallery, the Roman amphitheater from centuries past, and the Plaoshnik archaeological site. Samuil's Fortress sits above the town if you want the views, and there are lakeside churches scattered around the water too. After exploring the old town, you'll head to Korca on the Albanian side. The evening is yours to wander around and get a feel for the place, which is known as the cultural center of Albania.

- Day 2
Korca to Tirana
This morning you'll explore Korca itself, starting at the Medieval Art Museum where you can see Byzantine Icons dating back to the 12th century. From there, walk through the pedestrian center and see the Orthodox Cathedral, then head over to the historic Old Bazaar area. You'll have chances to try local food and drinks, including rakomelo, which is traditional raki mixed with honey, and the famous meatballs that Korca is known for. There's also beer from Albania's oldest brewery if that interests you. By late afternoon, you'll head back toward Tirana, arriving back in the capital as evening comes on.
