Lima
You'll touch down in Lima and meet your group at 2 pm. After connecting with your trip leader, take a walking tour through downtown to check out the main attractions, then you'll have free time to explore on your own. An optional group dinner is available this evening if you want to try ceviche and other Peruvian dishes.

Lima to Cusco
Following breakfast, catch an early flight to Cusco. You'll spend time acclimating to the high altitude (3450 m/11,320 ft), then your leader takes you on a walking tour to see Cusco's main sights plus lesser-known temples, markets, and historic squares. The evening is yours to explore at your own pace and find a dinner spot with the group.

- Day 3
Sacred Valley
Travel by private bus through the Sacred Valley (Wilcamayo), which was the historical food source for the high Andes. You'll visit a local community to learn about their lifestyles and activities, and if it's market day you can browse hand-painted beads and ponchos. Stop at AMA Restaurant in Urubamba, a social enterprise supporting single mothers, for a snack. Then board a train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes.

- Day 4
Machu Picchu
Take an early bus up the winding road to Machu Picchu. During your guided visit, you'll explore the temples, palaces and living quarters with plenty of time for photos. Whether it was built as a retreat for Incan nobility or an ancient observatory, you'll have ample opportunity to appreciate this remarkable site. Return to Cusco in the afternoon.

Cusco
After breakfast, you have a free day in Cusco to relax, shop and explore at your own pace. Visit cafes on Plaza de Armas, check out San Pedro Market for local produce and handicrafts, or try something more active like mountain biking in the surrounding hills. The market is also known for local 'mystery soups' featuring frog or offal.

Cusco to Puno
Following breakfast, travel through dramatic high Altiplano scenery to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca. At 3800 m/12,467 ft altitude, Lake Titicaca is the world's highest navigable lake. It's a long drive by local bus, but the first glimpse of this immense lake stretching to the horizon is worth it. Puno blends Indigenous Aymara and Quechuan culture, and your leader can recommend where to find the best grilled trout for dinner.

- Day 7
Lake Titicaca - Uros Islands
Take a motorboat tour of Lake Titicaca, stopping at the floating Uros Islands with their otherworldly appearance constructed from totora reeds. Stay overnight in a homestay with a local community, helping the family with daily activities and learning some Quechua. You might join a local soccer game. Your hosts will cook a traditional Peruvian feast for dinner.

Puno to Lima
After breakfast at your homestay, say goodbye to your host family and take a bus to Juliaca airport. Catch your included flight back to Lima where you have a free evening. Explore the beautiful Miraflores neighborhood including Kennedy Park (known for its cat population) and Parque del Amor dedicated to all lovers. Head out for a final celebratory dinner with your travel group.

You'll board a flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina's capital, a cosmopolitan city blending Latin passion, European elegance and its own distinctive style. After arrival and settling into your hotel, join your leader for a welcome meeting at 6 pm (note will be left at hotel reception). If you arrive early, explore the San Telmo neighborhood's cobblestone streets lined with mansions and shops, visit Recoleta cemetery, or see Casa Rosada.

Buenos Aires
Start the day with breakfast in Buenos Aires, then your guide takes you on an orientation walk through the city showing you the Colon Theatre, the historic Obelisk, and Plaza de Mayo with the Pink House. After that, you have the afternoon and evening free to do your own thing. You could take a beginner's tango class if that interests you, try some local wine, or ask your guide where to eat traditional asado for dinner.

Buenos Aires to Ibera Wetlands
Take a short flight to Posadas, then drive to Ituzaingo, a riverside city on the Parana River and your base for exploring the Ibera Wetlands. Spanning over 15,000 square kilometres (roughly the size of Belgium), these wetlands are incredibly biodiverse with swamps, lakes and lagoons home to otters, alligators, deer, wolves, black howler monkeys and capybaras.

Ibera Wetlands
Spend a full day on safari of the Ibera Wetlands with a local guide. You'll spot mammals, reptiles and over 350 bird species including caiman, swamp deer, armadillos, flocks of rhea, anacondas and birds ranging from sharp-tailed tyrants to yellow robins. For lunch, enjoy an asado and try kneading Argentinian bread. The evening is free to unwind or grab dinner with the group.

Ibera Wetlands to Foz do Iguazu
After a hearty breakfast, prepare for a long travel day. Take a comfortable local bus to Puerto Iguazu. From there, transfer by minivan to visit a Guarani community to learn about their way of life and how they've preserved their traditions on the edge of one of South America's most popular attractions. Then cross the border into Brazil and continue to your hotel in Foz do Iguazu.

Iguazu Falls - Brazilian Side
Visit the mighty Iguazu Falls from both the Brazilian and Argentinian sides. At over 2 km long with over 270 cataracts reaching up to 80 m tall, the falls are wider than Victoria Falls and higher than Niagara. You'll enjoy panoramic views from the Brazilian side including San Martin Island. Optionally, take a helicopter ride over the falls for spectacular aerial views of the cascades and surrounding lush parklands.

Iguazu Falls - Argentinian Side
Head to the Argentinian side of the falls where you can follow a series of boardwalks to get up close to the thundering waters, so close you can almost touch them. For a more exhilarating experience, jump on an optional Zodiac tour that takes you around the base of the cascades. Return to your hotel in the afternoon to relax and prepare for tomorrow's journey to Rio de Janeiro.

Foz do Iguazu to Rio de Janeiro
Catch a flight to Rio de Janeiro, the festive heart of Brazil. Settle into your hotel and join your leader for an orientation walk. Rio is known for its beaches, Carnaval and contrasting images of favelas and luxury districts. Enjoy free time to explore with recommendations from your leader. Maybe catch a football game, take a cable car ride between Praia Vermelha and Sugarloaf Mountain for city views, or enjoy a caipirinha at a beachside bar.

Get picked up at your hotel and head straight to Christ the Redeemer to beat the crowds. Soak up the early morning air and take photos of this iconic statue before heading to a local farmers' market where your leader will show you favourite local foods and introduce you to market traditions. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax or explore more. As it's your last night together as a group, head out for a farewell dinner.
