Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi
After hotel pickup, your driver takes you through Old Delhi starting with a rickshaw ride down Chandi Chowk's narrow streets. You'll see the wedding market at Kinari Bazar and the 400-year-old Jama Masjid, then walk through the spice market at Khari Baoli before heading to the Red Fort. Later you stop at Mahatma Gandhi's cremation place. The afternoon shifts to New Delhi where you see India Gate, Parliament House, and the Secretariat buildings, then visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib Sikh temple complex. The day ends with a stroll through New Delhi centre.

Delhi to Agra
From Delhi, you travel toward Agra with a stop at the modern Akshardham Hindu temple. After that, you head to Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO heritage palace complex worth exploring. Once in Agra, a local guide shows you Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Note that Taj Mahal viewing depends on when you arrive since it's closed Fridays, so you might see it the day before, at sunset, or at sunrise instead.

Agra to Jaipur
You start early to catch the sunrise at Taj Mahal. After breakfast, the journey to Jaipur begins with another stop at Fatehpur Sikri's UNESCO palace complex. By evening you're checked into your hotel in Jaipur and can join cooking classes to learn local techniques.

Jaipur
Following breakfast, you head to Amber Fort outside Jaipur, then stop at Jal Mahal for photos of the palace sitting on water. You explore the Royal Palace and check out Hawa Mahal with its over 1,000 small windows in the pink wall. The afternoon includes Gaitor tombs where Jaipur's kings are buried, and then you walk through the Galta Gi complex of Monkey temples set on hillsides.

Jaipur to Kathmandu
After breakfast, you travel to Delhi International Airport for your flight to Kathmandu. Upon landing, you're picked up and transferred to your hotel in Thamel district, Kathmandu's main tourist area.

Kathmandu
Start your morning at Durbar Square, Kathmandu's spiritual center with the old royal palace and surrounding temples. From there you go to Swayambhunath Stupa, Nepal's oldest and most important Buddhist worship site where Buddha eyes are carved on all four sides. Next is Bodnath, Nepal's largest stupa with its mandala surrounded by over 50 gompas built by Tibetan refugees. You finish at Pashupatinath temple, Nepal's main Hindu pilgrimage site on the Bagmati river dedicated to the god Shiva.

Kathmandu to Patan to Bhaktapur
After breakfast, you travel to Patan, the valley's second-largest city known for temple architecture and ancient squares filled with shrines. You see the former royal palace complex which now houses a museum with bronze statues and religious objects. Then you continue to Bhaktapur, the third-largest city in the valley, which has kept its medieval character better than many other areas.

Today you travel to Pokhara, the gateway to the Himalayas and Nepal's second-largest valley in the central hilly region. After checking into your hotel, you take a stroll through town to get a feel for the area.

Pokhara
Pokhara offers leisure time for what you'd like to do. You can take a boat ride on Phewa Lake with a stop at Varahi temple, explore local temples, visit Devi waterfall, or see Bindhybasini Temple, Pokhara's oldest temple devoted to goddess Bindhybasini. Shopping and sightseeing around town round out the day.

Pokhara to Chitwan National Park
You travel to Chitwan National Park, Asia's largest, and check into your lodge. The park has 450 bird species, four deer species, leopards, sloth bears, wild boar, one-horned rhinoceroses, and a handful of Royal Bengal Tigers among its diverse wildlife and plant life.

Chitwan National Park to Kathmandu
This morning you choose between an elephant ride or jeep safari through Chitwan National Park to see wildlife and natural landscapes. After breakfast at the lodge, you travel back to Kathmandu and check into your hotel. The afternoon is free for shopping in the Thamel district.

Kathmandu to Sundarijal to Chisapani Trek
After an early breakfast, you drive about an hour from Kathmandu to Sundarijal where you meet your hiking guide and enter Shivapuri National Park. The trail goes gradually uphill through pine and oak forests good for bird watching. After 5 to 6 hours passing through forests, villages, and terraced farms, you reach Chisapani, a Sherpa settlement with panoramic Himalayan views. You stay overnight at a lodge there.

Chisapani to Nagarkot Trek
After breakfast at the lodge, you hike for roughly 6 hours toward Nagarkot. The route goes through villages, terraced farms, and forests with views of peaks like Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and Manaslu. You'll also see Kathmandu's urban sprawl from the trekking hills. Lunch stops at Chauki Bhanjyang, then another 3 hours of walking. On clear days, you see the full Himalayan range from Dhaulagiri to Kanchenjunga. You arrive at Nagarkot for sunset views, then drive back to Kathmandu by car.
