Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo where your professional guide meets you to help with visa procedures and give you the lay of the land. A private air-conditioned vehicle takes you to your hotel so you can check in and get settled. The rest of the day is yours to relax after traveling.

Cairo
Start with a typical Egyptian breakfast, then head out with your English-speaking guide to see Cairo's main attractions. You'll spend the day at the Pyramids of Giza complex, walking through the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khufu, and spending time with the Great Sphinx. There's the option to catch a light show at Giza in the evening or have dinner on a floating Nile restaurant if you're interested.

- Day 3
Cairo to Luxor
After breakfast, the day is completely yours to explore Cairo however you like. There's an optional full-day tour available that covers the Metropolitan Museum of Art (home to Tutankhamun's treasures), the historic UNESCO World Heritage district, the Citadel of Saladin, Khan el Khalili bazaar, and the Coptic neighborhood with its Hanging Church, Saints Sergius and Wachus Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Later in the evening, you'll transfer to Cairo Airport, fly to Luxor, and board your Nile cruise ship where you'll have dinner and settle in for the night.

Luxor
After breakfast, you'll take a guided tour of Luxor and Karnak temples, which were dedicated to the gods Amun and Ra. You'll walk along the sphinx-lined avenue connecting them while learning about the pharaohs who built them. Then you'll cross the Nile to explore the Necropolis of Thebes and Valley of the Kings, seeing the 62 pharaonic tombs, Queen Hatshepsut's funerary temple, Ramses III's Medinat Habu temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. Back on the cruise ship, you'll sail toward Esna, passing through the Esna Lock and heading to Edfu.

Edfu to Kom Ombo
You'll wake up early in Edfu to see the sunrise, then have breakfast onboard before taking a carriage ride to the Temple of Horus, which is one of the best-preserved Egyptian temples around. After returning for lunch on the ship, you'll sail to Kom Ombo for an excursion to its temple (dedicated to both the falcon god Haroeris and the crocodile god Sobek). There's an exhibit of mummified crocodiles to check out. Dinner happens onboard before you begin sailing toward Aswan overnight.

Aswan
You'll have a leisurely breakfast and a relaxing morning. There's an optional trip to Abu Simbel in Nubia if you want to see Ramses II's rock-cut temple with its four massive statues and the temple dedicated to Nefertari. After lunch on the ship, you can optionally take a felucca (Egyptian wooden boat) ride past Elephantine Island and Kitchener Island (which has a botanical garden and views of Agha Khan Mausoleum). You'll also visit Aswan Dam and the Philae temple complex dedicated to the goddess Isis, which was relocated to save it from rising Nile waters. You'll return to the cruise ship and stay overnight in Aswan.

Aswan to Cairo
After breakfast onboard, you'll disembark and transfer to Aswan Airport for a domestic flight back to Cairo. Once you arrive, you'll be transferred to your hotel in the city.
