Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Les Houches

    You'll arrive in Les Houches this afternoon, with hotel check-in starting at 3pm. Later at 6pm, you'll meet your guide for an orientation meeting and get to know the rest of the group. It's a good time to settle in and go over what the week ahead looks like.

  2. Day 2

    Les Houches to Les Contamines

    The trek starts easy with a cable car ride up to Bellevue, which gets you acclimatized without too much strain. From there you'll walk through forest with Mont Blanc and the alpine foothills visible across the Bionnassay Valley. You'll cross Col de Tricot, then make your way down via switchbacks to Chalet de Miage before ending the day in the traditional village of Les Contamines.

  3. Day 3

    Les Contamines to Chapieux

    A private transfer takes you to Notre Dame de la Gorge where the real climbing begins. You'll head over Col du Bonhomme and then Col de la Croix du Bonhomme, trekking toward the Chapieux valley. Crossing Aiguille des Glaciers gives you those high alpine views that make days like this memorable.

  4. Day 4

    Chapieux to Courmayeur

    The bus drops you at Ville des Glaciers before you trek over Col de la Seigne, which marks the border crossing into Italy. After that, you'll descend into Val Ferret with wide views spreading out in all directions. A private transfer from there gets you to Courmayeur, where you'll have time to explore the town or rest up.

    Courmayeur to La Fouly

    A private transfer from Courmayeur takes you to Val Ferret for the trek over Grand Col Ferret. You'll cross into Switzerland and drop down into the small village of La Fouly. The views here take in the Combins massif and the Italian side of Mont Blanc, making the effort very worth it.

    La Fouly to Champex

    Starting from your hotel, this hike follows one of Valais's most scenic valleys. You'll pass through small villages and see typical alpine architecture along the route. By the end of the day, you'll have climbed up to Champex, a Swiss village sitting next to its own pretty lake.

  7. Day 7

    Champex to Trient

    After leaving your hotel, you'll trek through small alpine hamlets and then climb across pastures on what's called a balcony trail. This path overlooks the Rhone Valley as you go, and then you descend directly to reach your mountain lodge in Trient.

  8. Day 8

    Trient to Argentière

    You'll cross Col de la Balme to head back into France, and the views of Mont Blanc and Aiguille Verte from up there are really something. When you reach the descent, you get to pick between two routes, either heading to Tour or down to the village of Argentière.

    Argentière to Chamonix

    The Balcon des Aiguilles Rouges trail gets you out for some great scenery, and then you climb up to Lac Blanc where you can see Aiguille Verte, Les Drus, La Mer de Glace, Aiguilles de Chamonix, Mont Blanc du Tacul, Aiguille du Goûter, and Mont Blanc itself. You'll descend through Le Praz, then take the La Flégère cable car and a bus down to your final hotel in Chamonix.

      The accommodations include double rooms with en-suite bathrooms in the following hotels: Les Houches, Les Contamines, Courmayeur, La Fouly, Champex, Argentière, Chamonix. Additionally, you'll stay in double rooms at mountain lodge-hotels in Chapieux and Trient, most of which also feature en-suite bathrooms. We currently have availability for the following dates: July 6–15, August 3–12, September 2–11. Please note that the departures are still in the process of being filled. For this guided tour, a minimum of 6 participants is required. The price is €3,280 per person based on double/twin room occupancy.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
