- Day 1
Nairobi
You'll land in Nairobi and connect with your guide for an overview of the 11-day safari ahead. After that, transfer to your hotel to settle in and recover from travel. Spend the rest of the day getting to know Kenya's capital, which has a real energy to it with markets, shops, and restaurants scattered throughout the city.

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Head north from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve, checking in at your lodge by midday. Grab lunch and then get ready for your first game drive in the afternoon, where you'll see reticulated giraffes, Grevy's zebras, and Somali ostriches adapted to this dry landscape. Back at camp, dinner comes as the light fades across the reserve.

Samburu National Reserve

Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Travel from Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which focuses on rhino protection. After lunch, you'll go on an afternoon game drive searching for the Big Five and the rare northern white rhinoceros. Later you'll visit Baraka, a blind black rhino, and see the chimpanzees here. Before dinner, walk to the equator line where you can stand with one foot in each hemisphere.
