Itinerary
- Day 1
Bari
You'll arrive individually in Bari and meet your guides at 7:00 p.m. in the hotel lobby. From there, they'll walk you through the old town's winding streets before taking you to a small trattoria for dinner. The meal features authentic Apulian cooking in a rustic setting, giving you a real taste of the region's food right away.

- Day 2
Castel del Monte - Alta Murgia
After breakfast, you'll head by bus toward Castel del Monte, the hilltop castle built by Emperor Friedrich II and a UNESCO site. The route cuts through Alta Murgia National Park with its dramatic karst landscape. You'll stop at a masseria for an Apulian lunch, then spend the afternoon cycling through vineyard-covered hills and limestone plateaus. By late afternoon you're back in Bari with the evening free to wander the old town.

- Day 3
Alberobello - Locorotondo
A bus takes you to the Itria Valley where you'll start cycling on stone-walled field paths toward Alberobello, a UNESCO-listed town known for its distinctive trulli houses. After exploring this unique place, you'll continue on your bike through olive and almond groves heading toward Locorotondo. Your hotel tonight is actually built as an entire trulli village in the countryside.

- Day 4
Massafra - Salento - Porto Cesareo
Starting at the base of Martina Franca, you'll cycle through Murgia landscape with endless olive groves and red soil stretching out around you. By noon you'll reach Massafra, a town dramatically split by the Gravina San Marco gorge, where you'll stop for lunch. After that, you're transferring into Salento, the heel of the Italian boot, and cycling through more olive groves to reach Porto Cesareo on the coast.

- Day 5
Gulf of Taranto - Gallipoli
Your bike route hugs the Ionian Sea coast along the Gulf of Taranto, with kilometer-long sandy beaches appearing regularly. Near Porto Selvaggio nature park, your guide can arrange a transfer if you want to skip a tougher climb. You'll continue along the coast past small resorts until reaching Gallipoli, the most popular Gulf town. A transfer option exists for the final section before your 5-star hotel. There's a guided walk through the historic old town and dinner at a seafood restaurant overlooking the water.

Salento - Lecce
Most of today's cycling stays within the Italian boot heel. You'll start from your hotel riding along the famous 5+ km sandy beach at Baia Verde, then turn inland through sparsely populated Mediterranean terrain. Your bike tour ends near Otranto, and then you'll take a bus to Lecce (about 40 km away). After checking into your 2-night hotel in the old town, there's a late afternoon guided tour showing off Lecce's baroque buildings. You'll have the evening free to explore on your own.

- Day 7
Torre dell'Orso - Alimini Lakes - Otranto
A short transfer from Lecce gets you to the Adriatic coast where you'll start your final cycling stage. You'll turn inland at Torre dell'Orso, named after historic watchtowers built to defend against Turkish pirates. The route takes you through a nature reserve and past the fish-rich Alimini Piccolo and Alimini Grande lakes on your way to Otranto. You'll explore this beautifully restored town with its promenade and fortified old town peninsula during lunch. By evening you're back in Lecce at a stylish restaurant in the baroque center.
