This was a MEMORABLE trip! All 3 staff, Heston, Westinghouse and Alois, were 5 star in every way. I'm my opinion, a better more upscale hotel would be a good start to thus trip. I found the Kenya Comfort Hotel to be seriously lacking. For the amazing day at Maasi Mara, please include the price of the jeep in the tour. There is no way we could have seen what we saw if we had been in the big bus. Please also upgrade the bus to include an electronic ice chest. We all purchased beverages that needed to be chilled, and ice was almost impossible to find. Finally, the tents are old, heavy and difficult to assemble. Please consider a tent upgrade for the future.

Had a fabulous and unforgetable camping adventure. Very well organised with our amazing tour guide, cook and driver. In our 60's we were the oldest couple, but as long as you're fit you can do this. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

This is an excellent tour that gives you an opportunity to have some unforgettable experiences. Our trip leader, driver, and cook were all very personable and skilled at what they do. Local transport drivers, guides, and trackers for day activities were well chosen and helpful as we navigated the Maasai Mara, Kigali Rwanda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and Nakuru National Park. The thing is, all of the good came from the tour operator, Africa Travel Co. The problems came from On The Go, and their poor communication in pre-trip planning. Gorilla Trekking is an "optional excursion" on this trip. But one that needs to be planned months in advance. I understand it being a separate permit fee, but had I gone on this trip only to learn it was too late to track these magnificent beasts I would've been disappointed beyond words. No other traveler who had booked this operator through a separate company had such misinformation. It is immediately made clear that ATC has a well-oiled operation that requires a bit of flexibility as local events may change what's available (a flood in Hell's Gate changed those activities). On The Go seemed to be operating on old information with no haste to communicate which excursions required timely planning, and which were best approached with a hakuna matata attitude.
