Itinerary

Marseille to Arles
You'll board your river cruise ship in Marseille once flights arrive by 3 pm, with everyone getting settled by 5 pm. After checking into your stateroom and meeting the crew, dinner happens on board. The ship stays docked in Arles for the night, so this is your chance to get comfortable and rest up before the journey begins.

Arles to Avignon
Head to the Adventure Center in Arles and pick from three options: take a power walk through the town with your Adventure Host, join a painting workshop focusing on Van Gogh techniques, or go on a guided walking tour that includes the Roman Amphitheater. You'll have free time to grab wine at Le Café Van Gogh before the ship sails to Avignon. Later in the day, there's an optional lecture about wine from your Master of Wine. You'll sleep docked in Avignon.

Avignon
You have two choices for the day: take a guided sightseeing tour around Avignon to see the ramparts and Palace of the Popes, or head out to Châteauneuf-du-Pape's wine cellars for tasting in the Rhône wine region. Back on the ship, there's live entertainment this evening. The ship stays docked in Avignon overnight.

Avignon to Tain l'Hermitage
The morning brings a leisurely sail toward Viviers. You can pick from three activities: hike up to the hilltop Cathedral with your Adventure Host, take a guided walking tour through the pale-stone buildings, or learn about the Romanesque cathedral and Old Town's Christian, Roman, and medieval layers. Evening features a food and wine pairing dinner hosted by your Master of Wine. After that, you'll cruise overnight to Tain l'Hermitage.

Tain l'Hermitage to Lyon
In Tournon, choose between a morning hike through town along the Rhone or a guided walking tour covering one of France's oldest medieval cities with its 16th-century castle. During early afternoon, the ship sails to Lyon. While sailing, you'll attend a chocolate and wine tasting with your Master of Wine. You'll be docked in Lyon for the night.

Lyon to Tournus
Lyon offers three activity options: bike through the architectural district with your Adventure Host, checking out bridges and the place where the Rhône and Saône meet; take a guided sightseeing tour from Fourvière Hill to see churches and Old Town's medieval alleyways; or head to the Beaujolais wine region to learn about light, pleasant wines. Live entertainment plays as the ship sails toward Tournus. You'll cruise overnight to Tournus.

Today takes you into the Mâconnais region's rolling landscapes to explore famous Chardonnay vineyards and taste wine in a medieval castle's cellars. Later, you'll enjoy a cheese and wine tasting with your Master of Wine. The evening has live entertainment on board. You'll be docked in Chalon-sur-Saône overnight.

Chalon-sur-Saône to Paris
You'll travel from Chalon-sur-Saône to Beaune to visit the Hôtel-Dieu Charity Hospital from 1443, where you can see Van der Weyden's Last Judgment painting and experience one of France's key architectural works. After that, you'll take a high-speed train from Dijon to Paris.

Paris
Paris gives you two guided tour choices: explore the ancient heart including Palais-Royal, Louvre pyramid, Île de la Cité, Left Bank, and Latin Quarter, or see iconic sites like the Louvre Museum, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Opéra Garnier, and Champs-Élysées. You'll have free time to stroll the Champs-Élysées for café au lait and croissants, visit Louvre exhibits, or check out Montmartre's Basilica of the Sacré Cœur.
