Itinerary
- Day 1
Lima
You'll land at Jorge Chávez International Airport where the team meets you for a transfer to your hotel in Miraflores. After you get settled in and freshen up, head out for an afternoon city tour starting at 1:15 p.m. The tour takes you along the coast and through different layers of Lima's history. First stop is Parque del Amor where you'll see the famous 'El Beso' sculpture overlooking the Pacific. From there, walk through Huaca Pucllana, an archaeological site with pre-Inca structures right in the city. Later, you'll stroll through El Olivar Park in San Isidro, a peaceful green space with old olive trees. The tour then moves into the Historic Center, a UNESCO site where you can walk around Plaza Mayor and check out the Church of Santo Domingo with its colonial architecture. If you're interested, there's an optional stop to taste local Peruvian wines and piscos before heading back to your hotel by evening.

- Day 2
Lima to Paracas - Ica - Huacachina
This is a long day starting before dawn when you'll head out to Paracas Peninsula for a speedboat tour of the Ballestas Islands, where you'll see Humboldt penguins, sea lions, and pelicans in their natural habitat. From there, you'll travel inland to Ica for a vineyard visit and wine and pisco tasting, then have lunch with traditional Peruvian dishes. After that, it's off to the Huacachina desert oasis for a dune buggy ride and sandboarding across the golden sand. You'll try to catch the desert sunset if there's time, then return to Lima late in the evening.

- Day 3
Lima to Cusco
You'll get picked up from your hotel in the morning and taken to the airport for your domestic flight to Cusco. The flight takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes with some nice aerial views of the Andes along the way. When you land, your guide will meet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel in the historic center. The rest of the afternoon is yours to rest and walk around a bit while your body adjusts to the high altitude.

- Day 4
Sacred Valley - Chinchero - Maras - Moray - Aguas Calientes
After breakfast, you'll be picked up early to explore the Sacred Valley. First stop is Chinchero, a colorful Andean village where you'll watch traditional textile weaving. Then you'll see Moray with its circular agricultural terraces built by the Incas, followed by the Maras salt mines where thousands of evaporation ponds cover the mountainside. Later in the day, you'll head to Ollantaytambo to board a train to Aguas Calientes, arriving in the evening with time to rest before tomorrow.

- Day 5
Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu to Cusco
You'll wake up early and walk to the bus station to catch a shuttle up to Machu Picchu. After showing your passport for registration, a guide will take you on a two-hour tour through the legendary Inca citadel, explaining the architecture and history. If you booked an optional hike like Huayna Picchu, you can do that after the tour. Later, you'll come back down for lunch at a restaurant, then board the afternoon train back to Ollantaytambo where your guide will pick you up for the drive back to Cusco, arriving in the evening.

- Day 6
Cusco to Rainbow Mountain
You'll leave before dawn heading toward Rainbow Mountain, also called Vinicunca. After a two-hour drive to Cusipata, you'll have a traditional breakfast, then continue to the trailhead at Pulawasipata. A moderate two-hour hike takes you to the summit, where you'll see the mountain's vibrant colored slopes, local shepherds in traditional clothing, and views of Ausangate Peak in the distance. The descent follows the same route, then you'll head to Cusipata for a hearty buffet lunch before returning to Cusco in the afternoon.

- Day 7
Cusco to Humantay Lake
Before sunrise you'll head toward the Salkantay region to visit Humantay Lake, a turquoise glacial lagoon below snow-capped peaks. After a two-hour drive to Mollepata, you'll have a warm local breakfast, then continue by private transport for about an hour to Soraypampa. From there, a two-hour uphill hike brings you to the lake where you'll spend 30 to 40 minutes resting and taking photos. You'll make your way back down and return to Mollepata for a buffet lunch before heading back to Cusco in the afternoon.

- Day 8
Cusco to Puno
You'll travel from Cusco to Puno along the Route of the Sun, combining mountain scenery with cultural stops. First you'll visit the seventeenth century church at Andahuaylilles, known for its ornate baroque decoration and gold leaf work. Next is the archaeological site of Raqchi, dedicated to the god Wiracocha, followed by lunch with regional dishes. You'll stop at La Raya Pass at 4,338 m, the highest point with views of Chimboya Mountain and the high plateau. Before arriving in Puno around 5:00 p.m., you'll visit the Pukara Lithic Museum to see pre-Incan sculptures and ceramics.

- Day 9
Puno - Lake Titicaca
Today you'll explore Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake. You'll start by visiting the floating islands of the Uros people to learn how they build everything from totora reeds, including their islands, homes, and boats. After that, a motorboat takes you across the lake for about 2.5 hours toward Taquile Island with views of the surrounding Andean mountains. On Taquile, you'll walk along stone paths and terraces while learning about the community and their UNESCO-recognized textile traditions. You'll have lunch with local families, some free time, and then head back by boat to Puno.

Puno to Juliaca - Departure
You'll get picked up from your hotel at the time arranged and driven to Juliaca Airport based on your flight schedule. Staff will help you check in for your flight to Lima, where your international flight home will depart with your onward connection.
