Marseille to Arles
Your river cruise kicks off in Marseille with flights landing by 3 pm. You'll board your ship by 5 pm, then settle into your cabin for the night while the boat stays docked in Arles.

Arles to Avignon
Arles gives you several options to start the day. You can take a power walk with your Adventure Host, join a painting workshop covering Van Gogh techniques, or do a guided walking tour that includes the Roman Amphitheater. After lunch there's time to grab wine at Le Café Van Gogh. Later you'll sail toward Avignon, and the evening brings live jazz entertainment onboard.

Avignon to Tournon
In Avignon you get to pick your adventure. Explore the fortress city and Palace of the Popes on a guided tour, visit Pont du Gard to see the ancient Roman engineering, or head out on a guided tour of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine cellars. By afternoon the ship heads toward Tournon.

Tournon to Sainte-Colombe
Tournon opens with your choice of a morning hike or a guided walking tour of the medieval town and 16th-century castle. From there you'll sail to Vienne, where a guided walking tour shows you the cathedral, Archaeological Gardens of Cybèle, and the Roman Temple of Augustus & Livia. After dinner, free time lets you catch live music at the Vienne Jazz Festival throughout various bars and pubs in town.

Sainte-Colombe to Lyon
The ship sails to Lyon this morning, and you can choose between biking through the architectural district with your Adventure Host (crossing bridges where the Rhône and Saône meet) or taking a guided sightseeing tour. The tour visits Fourvière Hill for city views, explores Old Town's medieval passageways, and checks out the busy Place des Terreaux.

Lyon to Tournus
A half-day guided tour takes you to Pérouges, a medieval walled town that appeared in the 1973 film version of 'The Three Musketeers'. Later you'll enjoy Gypsy Jazz (the French-origin style also called Jazz Manouche) before the evening cruise toward Tournus.

Tournus to Chalon-sur-Saône
You'll head into the Mâconnais region to learn about Chardonnay vineyards and taste wine in the cellars of an actual medieval castle. After that comes a cheese tasting back onboard, then the evening wraps up with live entertainment.

The day starts with a drive to Beaune to see the Hôtel-Dieu Charity Hospital from 1443, which houses Van der Weyden's Last Judgment painting and stands as one of France's key architectural works. Then you'll catch a high-speed train from Dijon to Paris.

Paris offers two guided tour options. Free time lets you stroll the Champs-Élysées, visit museums, or explore Montmartre's Basilica of the Sacré Cœur.
