Local guides were good, but the ship board guy, directed us to wrong place to catch shuttle bus back to ship from Amsterdam and we were nearly abandoned. Maps of towns we are to walk thru and emergency contact cards should be in rooms each night not just on a desk obscured by the crowd picking up their listening devices. More free time to explore. We would have had a difficult time making the transition, but the staff were extremely helpful. Once we arrived, we were warmly greeted and given the opportunity to rest a little while our room was prepared. The meals were first rate. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. They met our every need. We enjoyed the evening entertainment, as well as the planned excursions. - CPCarole· May 1st, 2018The crew, ship and meals were all very good. There was an issue with the wording of one of the tours that I paid an additional amount for and I will take it up with Avalon. Also with the room description I paid extra for the wall to wall windows. It was useless to have done that.
