Amsterdam
You'll arrive in Amsterdam and meet your Travel Director and fellow travelers at a Welcome Reception. After that, you'll take a cruise through the city's tree-lined canals to see the Old City from the water. The day wraps up with dinner and wine at a local restaurant.

A scenic drive takes you along the Rhine Valley toward Würzburg. You'll see the Marienberg Fortress from a distance, then visit the Würzburg Residenz, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A Local Expert will walk you through the intricate decorations and lavish rooms inside.

Würzburg to Prague
In the morning, head to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a well-preserved medieval town on the Romantic Road. From there, continue east toward the Czech border, passing through Pilsen, which is famous for its beer. You'll arrive in Prague by evening, with an optional river cruise available if you want.

Prague
Prague offers you a choice today with Insight Choice. Either walk through Prague Castle's courtyards and visit St. Vitus Cathedral, or join a Local Expert in the Jewish Quarter to learn about Jewish history and traditions while trying Trdelník, a traditional Czech pastry. The rest of your day is free to wander around antique shops or look for Bohemian crystal.

Prague to Budapest
You'll travel through Bohemia's forested countryside heading toward Hungary. Following the River Danube, you'll reach Budapest. In the evening, join a Local Expert for a dinner cruise on the Danube, passing UNESCO World Heritage Sites as you see the city lit up at night.

From there, you can see the Danube, the Chain Bridge, and Elizabeth Bridge.

Start with a tour of the Liszt Music Academy guided by a student, followed by a recital. The academy was founded by Franz Liszt in 1875. After that, you'll pass the Turul Monument, a large eagle statue overlooking Tatabanya, then drive through farming country to the Austrian border and Vienna.

Your route passes quiet villages through Styria's forested mountains and into the Carinthian Lake District. You'll pass the Wörthersee, Europe's warmest lake, then cross into Italy near Tarvisio. Following mountain valleys and streams down to the Veneto Plain, you'll arrive in Venice by private boat. By evening, you'll have a cocktail at Piazza San Marco with live music, then dinner at a local restaurant near San Marco.
