You'll be met at Mariscal Sucre International Airport and transferred to your hotel by shuttle bus. Get settled in and take some time to adjust to the altitude and local time.

Otavalo Market and Cuicocha Crater Lagoon
Start your morning at Otavalo's traditional market, browsing handicrafts, animals, and fresh produce while trying local street food. This is one of South America's most important indigenous trading posts, so there's plenty to see. In the afternoon, hike around the scenic Cuicocha crater lagoon with your guide pointing out the high-altitude plants, animals, and explaining the volcanic history of the area.

San Clemente Indigenous Community
Spend the full day with a host family in San Clemente Community experiencing how they live daily. You'll explore their orchard, learn about medicinal plants and their traditional uses, try alpaca riding, and trek along scenic trails through the community.

Cotopaxi National Park and Lake Limpiopungo
After breakfast, head south to Cotopaxi National Park. Visit Lake Limpiopungo in the highlands for views of Cotopaxi Volcano's cone, then take a short walk to observe Andean wildlife and plants. If time and your altitude adjustment allow, there's an optional hike to the Jose Ribas refuge at 4,800m/15,748ft. End the day at a traditional hacienda near the park.

Pailon del Diablo Waterfall and Casa del Arbol
Continue traveling south toward Bañós, stopping at multiple waterfalls along the way. Stop in Rio Verde to see El Pailon del Diablo waterfall, then visit Casa del Arbol (a treehouse). From there, drive south to Riobamba and settle in for the night.

Hacienda La Danesa and Cacao Plantation
Arrive at Hacienda La Danesa in Naranjito, a luxury property surrounded by tropical coastal landscapes. You'll have access to curated experiences including cacao plantation tours, wet tubing in lazy rivers, horse riding, cooking classes, and bike rides, all focused on preserving local traditions.

Departure from Guayaquil
