- YCYu· March 4th, 2025In first a couple of days, there are some issues. I was fallen down at Lava Tunnel and my arm was hurting due to the local tour guide didn’t pay enough attention on safety in this activity. Later Diego in Santa Cruz Island and Julio in Isabela Island worked hard to keep things smoothly. I enjoyed my time in this beautiful island very much, I appreciate both Diego and Julio’s help. I also think the itinerary could be improved as there are two free days in this tour, I have to purchase other day trips to fill up these two free days.Show moreResponsible Travel South America commented on this reviewHello Yu Chen, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. - Katie· February 14th, 2025Very well organised and takes you to the best places in Santa Cruz and Isabela. The guides were all lovely and on time with good knowledge. I think it works out cheaper than doing it on your own because a lot of the day trips there are $100-140 and they were all included for us :) highly recommend!Show moreResponsible Travel South America commented on this reviewDear Katie, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! - LALaura· February 11th, 2025Big thanks to our tour operator Diego in Ecuador. He was absolutely outstanding in organising everything, quick responce to any enquiry we had . - NGNesrien· January 15th, 2025The hotel the tour operator put our family in was completely unacceptable. The front desk didn’t speak English, we had to communicate with google translate and that’s only when their wifi worked. The rooms were bare and the whole place was run down. Sometimes we didn’t have hot water and at one point no water at all. We asked to move to one of the many other hotels in Puerto Ayora but she refused, instead offering a hotel 15 mins away by taxi in a remote area with nothing around it. The tours were good but they were all half day tours, with only one exception which was the tour to the island. We could’ve fit much more into the time. The tour operator is well intentioned but inexperienced with American travelers. For this reason I do not recommend this tour.Show moreResponsible Travel South America commented on this reviewHello Mrs. Geerges, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. - MFM· December 18th, 2024My husband and I booked this trip to celebrate our anniversary and we had such an amazing time! Diego, our travel coordinator was very friendly and helpful, always keeping us on track and there to answer any questions we had. The Ilatoa Lodge is a hidden gem. Marcello and family were so welcoming and kind, and happy to help coordinate anything we needed. Enjoy your morning coffee enjoying the magical landscape and beautiful humming birds that frequent the garden. Bring a lot of cash with you. Almost everywhere in Santa Cruz takes credit cards, but vendors will typically upcharge for usage. When you get to Isabela - everywhere is CASH ONLY - we could not find a single place that took cards. There are ATMs, but they are not reliable so don't depend on being able to use them. Make sure you bring more sunscreen than you think you will need. You can buy more at any of the pharmacies once you get to the Galapagos, but it will be much more expensive so come prepared. Hats and sunglasses are a must. I also highly recommend a wetsuit or a rash guard shirt for snorkeling as the water can be chilly! Wet suits can typically be rented on town. Some other helpful tip: - On Day 2 (when you arrive to the Galapagos) - if you get the chance to drop your bags off at the hotel prior to going to the Darwin Center - DO IT. You will have to walk about a mile each way, so you don't want anything heavy with you. - Eat at the Santa Cruz Brewery and 1835 on Santa Cruz. The food was amazing. - For the beach day -- the hike to the beach is a HIKE. It is about 45 mins over an uneven so wear comfortable shoes. cobblestone pathShow moreResponsible Travel South America commented on this reviewHi Megan, Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! - CWCassandra· January 31st, 2024Hi! We love TourRadar. We had the best experience in the Galapagos islands. The communication with Jefferson was excellent from day one. He returned messages quickly along with several answers to questions that we had as this was our first time using a tour agency. Everything went smooth, and as printed in the itinerary. we are looking at our next-door and looking at TourRadar as I write. The hotels in the Galapagos were in town and walking distance to the beach, restaurants, activities, and super centrally located. However, the hotel in Ecuador was up on a hill and in a locked area. The place was nice. The grounds are beautiful, however, food and ability to sightsee or just take a walk or Prohibited. When I’ve loved to seen Ecuador and do plan to go back and spend some time in the city and see the marketplace and be able to walk around. All folks throughout the Galapagos islands were extremely friendly, helpful and kind. The treatment of humans and wildlife is superb and we all could learn from them. - CWCassandra· January 31st, 2024What a fabulous tour to Quito, Ecuador, and the Galapagos islands! Thank you so very much for having the ability to have professional folks arranging these tours. Jefferson was a gem from the very start. This was our first organized tour, and he held our hand through the entire process. His communication was superb and his knowledge about the tours, transfers, flights, accommodations, and food was on point. Everything went smoothly, and was exactly as the itinerary that was given to us. The guides on the tours were ultra, professional, and they’re knowledgeable. The culture and the people we dearly treasured. we appreciated the two hotels that were in town and walking distance to everything. The price was right and the quality superb, and the communication was outstanding. I hope Jefferson is a trainer for others that arranges tours and speak to people as he has advanced skills in the area of communication, both written and spoken. We had a zoom meeting prior to the trip, and he was very precise with his words and specific with answers to our questions. We will be using TourRadar again. We highly recommend the Quito, Ecuador and Galapagos islands trip. However, please add on your own days prior to the trip in Quito, Ecuador within walking distance to marketplace, unless there are reasons why we stayed high in the mountains. So those looking at this tour please add an extra day in QUITO. Thank you TourRadar for hiring such professional folks like Jefferson.Show moreResponsible Travel South America commented on this reviewDear Cassandra! Thank you so much for your wonderful review! - JWJürg· July 20th, 2023The tour was relaxed and interesting. The hotels clean with courteous staff. The tours professional. What I really liked is the snorkeling. You float in the water and see many different colored fish. The speedboat rides are a bit tedious, but unavoidable. Kayaking in Tortuga Bay is very nice but it is difficult to see the wildlife. Asked on November 17th, 2024My wife and I are planning a trip to the Galapagos in late December or early January, and we're interested in this tour. We're also hoping to include a scuba diving experience during our trip. Do you have any options for scuba diving that could be arranged in place of some of the planned activities?
- Responsible Travel South AmericaOperator•Written November 2024
Regarding your question: I will arrange scuba diving for you on Day #3 instead of visiting an uninhabited Island. Nevertheless, I only have available spaces on the following dates: - December 26th,2024: North Mosquera / Seymour Channel - December 27th,2024: Daphne with Seymour or Gordon Rocks. For all of them, You should have your PADI license, 25 immersions, and at least 8 months from the last one.

Asked on May 28th, 2024What is the cost of the flight from Quioto to Baltra? how many typically are on a tour? How much should we allow for food, tips, etc. Do you cover the cost of NationalPark fees and other admissions - if not - how much should we allow?
- Responsible Travel South AmericaOperator•Written May 2024
The roundtrip flights from Quito-Baltra have a price of 500$. The Enchanted Galapagos Islands is a protected paradise that just admitted a maximum of 16 travelers and for specific activities even less. You need an average of 30$ per day and per person for food, tips, etc. The value for entrance to the National Park (200$ per person) and the docking fee for Isabela Island (10$ per person) are not included in the final price for this tour and you can pay in cash on your arrival.

Asked on May 25th, 2024Are the flights from Quito to Baltra to be organized independently? If not, what is the cost? We have a 15-year-old son - does he fall under the 'Child' booking category? Is a return flight from Baltra to Guayaquil with a hotel stay possible? Does this cost extra?
- Responsible Travel South AmericaOperator•Written May 2024
Flights to Galapagos Islands are not included in the itinerary. Flight price per person is around US $500. Your 15-year-old son falls into the 'Adult' category since Child category is under 12 years old in Ecuador.
