Itinerary
- Day 1
Uyuni
You'll get picked up at the airport or bus station, then head out in a 4x4 vehicle into the Salar de Uyuni salt flats. The first stop is the train cemetery, followed by Colchani, a traditional salt-processing town where locals still work the salt ponds. From there, you'll drive about 80 km to Incahuasi Island, which sits right in the middle of the flats. Once you reach the summit, you're surrounded by massive cacti and can see across the entire salt flat with Tunupa volcano in the distance. After grabbing lunch and spending time taking photos, you'll stick around to catch the sunset painting the white salt flats with color before heading back to Uyuni.
