Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
After your breakfast, you'll get picked up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel. Your guide gives you a quick rundown of what's ahead over the next two weeks, then you'll head north toward Samburu National Reserve. The drive takes you through the equator, which makes for a nice photo stop. You'll arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, and then head out for an afternoon game drive that runs until sunset.

Samburu National Reserve
This is a full day dedicated to wildlife viewing at Samburu National Reserve. You'll go out on a morning game drive, break for a packed lunch somewhere in the park, then head back out for an evening drive. The semi-arid landscape here makes it pretty easy to spot animals, and the Uaso Nyiro River is fantastic for bird watching. It's the kind of place that feels genuinely wild and quiet.

Samburu National Reserve to Nyahururu
After breakfast, you'll gradually make your way south from Samburu through some really nice scenery toward Aberdare National Park and Nyahururu. By lunchtime you'll be at your lodge. Later in the afternoon, you'll check out the local waterfalls which draw all kinds of colorful birds and give you good chances for photos. There's a nature trail at the base that takes you through the gorge where endangered Colobus monkeys hang out along with other wildlife.

Nyahururu to Lake Nakuru National Park
You'll drive to Lake Nakuru National Park after breakfast and arrive with enough time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out on a game drive around the lake. Depending on when you visit, you might see the pink flamingos the lake is known for, plus resident rhinos and various other animals.

Lake Nakuru National Park to Lake Naivasha
Get up early for a morning game drive that wraps up around 8:30 AM, then head back to grab a full buffet breakfast. After checking out, you'll drive to Lake Naivasha and reach it in time for lunch. The afternoon is yours to do what appeals to you, whether that's a walk around the lodge grounds, some bird watching, or taking an optional boat ride out to Crescent Island.

Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve
Starting with an early breakfast, you'll drive through the Great Rift Valley with Mount Longonot visible in the distance. You'll stop in Narok town to refuel and grab some snacks, then continue on to Masai Mara National Reserve. Lunch happens when you arrive at your lodge, and then you'll head out for your first game drive in the afternoon, tracking different animal species and birds until the sun sets.

Masai Mara National Reserve
Today is all about game drives in Masai Mara. You'll spend the whole day exploring the 1,510 square kilometer reserve with a picnic lunch served somewhere out in the field. The landscape is wide open with pockets of riverine woodland, and you'll likely see giraffes, baboons, warthogs, jackals, hyenas, impala, wildebeest, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and lions. If you're there during July or August, you might catch part of the Great Migration when millions of wildebeest move north from the Serengeti.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you'll check out and head toward the Isebania Border to cross into Tanzania. Lunch and customs clearance happen at the border, and then your new Tanzanian guide will pick you up with a fresh 4x4 Land Cruiser. You'll make your way to Serengeti National Park, and there's a game drive during the drive over. You'll arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon in time for dinner.

Landmarks Isebania Border Serengeti National Park - Day 9
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you'll spend the entire day on a game drive through Serengeti National Park with a packed lunch. The park covers vast open plains with over 500 bird species recorded here. You'll be looking for wildlife including lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, cheetahs, rhinos, and African hunting dogs. Serengeti has the largest concentration of lions anywhere on earth, and the sheer density of large mammals is really something to see.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
You'll have breakfast at your Serengeti lodge, then check out and head to Ngorongoro Crater. Lunch waits for you when you arrive. After eating, you'll go on an afternoon game drive through the crater area where the landscape shifts between thick forests, woodlands, grasslands, lakes, and swamps. Keep watch for zebras, wildebeest, elands, gazelles, and the big five, including the nearly extinct black rhino.

Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara
You'll start early with breakfast that has views of Ngorongoro Crater as your backdrop. After eating, drive to Lake Manyara and arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. The afternoon brings a game drive that runs into the early evening.

Lake Manyara to Tarangire National Park
Following an early breakfast, you'll head to Tarangire National Park, a former hunting area that became a national park in 1970. The park is roughly the size of Luxembourg and holds one of the largest elephant populations in northern Tanzania. The northeastern part features massive baobab trees that are really worth seeing. You'll get to your lodge by lunchtime, and then head out for an afternoon game drive that goes until late evening.

Tarangire National Park to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you'll head toward the Namanga border with picnic lunch boxes packed for the road. You'll clear customs and immigration, then your Kenya driver takes over and you continue to Amboseli National Park. Lunch happens somewhere along the way. Once you arrive, you'll get a game drive to spot large elephant herds, lions, leopards, gazelles, and wild dogs, all with views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli National Park
Your alarm goes off at 6:30 AM for breakfast before you head out for a full day of game driving at Amboseli. Mount Kilimanjaro sits as your backdrop the whole time. You'll have a picnic lunch at a viewpoint and spend the day looking for big cats and large groups of African elephants. Kilimanjaro's peak shows up nicely during sunrise and sunset. You'll head back to your lodge in the late afternoon.

Amboseli National Park to Nairobi
After breakfast at your lodge, you'll check out with a packed lunch and drive back to Nairobi. You'll get dropped off either at your Nairobi hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, marking the end of your 15-day safari.
